solid mounts and hookers
First off, i wouldnt run Solid Motor Mounts on the street. Your whole car will shake a rediculous amount.
And it shouldnt be a problem either way, the header should be far enough away from the mount to clear it.

The vid i think your talking about is an LS1 TA right?
Thats at idle.
I drove LTs open for 6 months, that was not bad, but when your engine has no were to obsorb vibration except your whole car and interior, thats bad.

I have Kooks LT's and decided on prothane mounts. I had some non-sense of the x-pipe touching the floor on take off with the original mounts. I couldn't take it so I put in the prothane mounts. I think they are great. Very little vibration except @ higher r's. idle is smooth and regular driving is great too. I'm pretty happy over all.

I cant imagine solid mounts on anything but a racecar. I mean, just looking at one with normal mounts with a cam at idle jiggling around and such... that would have to drive you nuts with solid mounts sending all that vibration into the car. haha... Not to mention, you'd be finding bolts that are loosening themselves up constantly from that, no?

Verdad Gallardo My Torq Arm creates more noise than the open headers, I dont notice the solid mounts.
The only problem I had was with the integrated mount of the BMR unit, it acts like a solid mount so when you go to try to put the drive side in there too nothing moves, as it is designed to do but I spent way too much time trying to get that **** to line up and eventually went with the long thru bolt on the mount and only 2 bolts into the block. A stock style mount would allow more movement and be a non issue.
