The LT1 has more low-end grunt, good on the streets for **** and git. The LS1's are good on the tracks cause of the ability to get up in rpms and get some good speed and times. It's just newer technology, the LT1 is outdated(even the LS1 is), but they can still kick some *** be it a mustang, or each other.

I think the LS1's have a better chance in the streets. At the track U only get a little over 100 mph, on the streets u get well over 100 mph where the say the LS1's take over ???

Last time it put down 325rwhp, 328rwtq after corrections. I have now a fresh balanced Motor, Aluminum Driveshaft, completely different Intake setup, Port-matched Heads, and a couple of other things. I am hoping for over 330rwhp.

The LS1 makes more torque than an LT1, the LT1 just peaks its torque sooner, so at any given RPM the torque between the two will be missmatched.

The Reason the LT1 peaks so soon on torque is because of head flow plain and simple, heck you put a set of ported heads on a stock LT1 and it would perform like a stock LS1.

When you look at the LS1 head cc numbers it is deceiving because the runners IN the head are shorter than on an LT1, so the 170 CC LT1 compared to the 200CC LS1 is rediculous, it would be like the LT1s stock 170 CCs compared to a 210 CC LT1 head.

stock vs stock there is no point anywhere where an LT1 has more torque than an LS1, the LS1 has more torque at any RPM. Is that so hard to comprehend?

The LT1 picks up like 90% of it's torque in the 2500rpm area..I don't think the LS1 gets it that low..
