Default just picked up my first camaro....already having problems

I just drove it back from PA to OH, it drove great. I have two things im concerned about.

1.) Are LT1s known for minor rocker arm tick?

2.) THE BIGGIE...... My stock throttle body is sticking no matter how much i press the accelerator, it feels like the cable isn't letting the TB go back to idle position...

I found a melted wire on this module which im going to replace, does this have anything to do with it? The throttle cable goes into the back of it.. And what is it, i couldn't find it in my chilton manual.

That is the ASR (traction control motor).

would that not functioning properly make my throttle stick like that?

It could. I'd eliminate it. Remove the unit and get a throttle cable for a '96 Camaro without traction control.

The ASR could be messing with the throttle body. But clean it out with sea foam and a brush.

ok, i'll try cleaning it, and soldering a new wire on there before i start ripping things off

I've also noticed that my clutch is very "grabby" when engaging (letting the clutch pedal up). Is this also normal for T-56s?

sry for the dumb Qs, im a chevy noob

The sticky throttle problem fixed itself this morning, it wasn't sticking, i still re-did the wiring and cleaned everything along with re-routing the wiring away from the header. Hopefully its fixed.

Running a lot better since i filled it up with 93 octane because the place i bought it from gave her a full tank of shitty 87.

The drivers door lock stopped working today too lol, so i need to find a new one.

Other than that minor stuff, its ready for summer...
