Default Advanced induction 200cc heads vs Lloyd elliot stage 2

I am deff going to get one a set of of of these heads but i am wondering what results you guys have had with them. The AI heads are a little more but the flow sheet on the website says they flow alittle more. Any thoughts?

You're never going to get a straight answer on which is better, whoever has each head is going to say theirs are better. With that being said, my LE2's flow 282/200 so they flow right on par with the AI heads.

I'd go with cost... although i have niether so i should just stay out of it... but if they are that close in performance. i think the price is what i would look at or who might help you out the most if you run into problems... just my 2 cents...

If you plan on using the heads off your 97 you can't go with AI cnc porting because you need either 643 or 374 casting numbers. You'll have 561's on yours. You can likely find some used cores on the classifieds though.

I have some mild to moderatly ported 374's with 2.02 valves in them. Id cut them loose for $525 shipped. Should flow like 260cfm.

AI or LE might cut you a deal with them being ported some and having big valves and all and I can ship them to them. Fresh everything in them.

PM me if you are interested.

The AI200cc head is more comprable to the LE3 head... both have good heads and reputations. AI has some customers that have put out stellar numbers, not everyday run of the mill builds, but very doable. I have sent three sets of heads thru Lloyd, and he has always been great.

I would take either one right now...lol. Both do put down awesome #'s and someday I'll own a set of LE or AI heads.

I can remember when 400rwhp was a pretty lofty goal with stock castings. Now you have people pushing 450+RWHP and dipping into the low 11's and flirting with 10's N/A.

I know Ai wont touch heads that have been messed with, at least when I was getting mine ported. With that said I love my 190s, the biggest "step" they had at the time, and the service was/is awesome. I called Ron a couple days ago about a new cam and he even said they would clean/inspect my heads for an awesome price while waiting on my new grind.

My vote is for AI but I am biased due to the NUMBERS in my sig.
Flow numbers are also not the whole story, neither is the dyno for that matter.

Id go with the AIs to I am going with the 200cc set check out there site and look at the numbers an times a lot of there customer put down. If you only have the 97s heads casting I would go LE since you can only go 180cc at AI with those but both AI and LE are great its just a matter of how much you want to spend and what your goals are.

Right, it's a good thing my LE2 heads put down good numbers at the TRACK too.

Almost 119 through a stock TB and a mail order tune in a full weight car (cept the prostars of course).... 120+ traps should be cake.

Or my full weight baby cammed street car with a stock 99k mile bottom, stock wp, and thats setup to turn not go straight that went 12.0@118 with heavy 17x9 and 17x11 wheels on its first pass down the track with the new setup bogging out of the hole. Oh yeah I'm still chasing down a high rpm miss thats costing me quite a bit of power above 5800.

wow thank you so much for the responses. I Was considering the AI heads but i dident know that would not do a stock 97 casting. And just for insight and readers who might read this later using search the cam is a comp 230-236 with 510/520 lift before 1.6 lifters which makes it 530ish/540ish i believe. LLoyd elliot here i come haha, thanks again guys great responses.

Contact AI before assuming what others have posted. He could very well have a set of heads up there that can be used and take yours in for other work, I do not know this for sure but I would call him instead of listening to everything else people say.

Either way, I vote for AI.

I stand behind Lloyd Elliot 100%. Great customer service, at a great price. I put down 381 rwhp with the 847 cam and LE2 Heads through a stalled automatic.

Talk to all three guys (LE, AI and PP) and decide who you feel more confident with. All will make exceptional power. Also flow numbers don't tell the entire story. I talked to both LE and AI, and decided to go with Lloyd. A few hundred $$ either way is nothing compared to the cost and effort of getting everything right on the car.

I can tell you that I am 110% satisfied with Lloyd's recommendations based on my goals. I wanted a street car that would pass emissions, not a race car. In return, my first trip to the track netted mid 12's at 114.6mph in complete street trim down to the Mich Pilots at a 3750lb race weight. To top it off, I can drive it in 6th gear at 1500 rpms!!!

I just wish names like Port Pros, AI, and LE were popular in 2002 when I bought all my ****, lol. I sank the money, now I have to run it. I most certainly would have bought heads from any of these three then but AFR was the only thing at the time. Cost would probably be the single determinant for me.
