fouling plugs, 383 guys come inside
Just wondering what fuel pressure you guys are running? Im at 46ish, and im fouling the hell outa my plugs. Im running tr55's. Could the O2' be having problems cuz im running open headers? I have about 20 minutes run time on the new Motor.

This probably wont help any but I ran open headers on my first LT1 for a very long time...(7-8 months) and never ever had a problem... so you might factor that variable out.

Trick Flow heads take different style plugs. I was using TR55s and I fouled them out also, then I got a set of autolite plugs for a stock LT1, becasue they were cheap, and fould those out too. Now I have NGK FR5s and haven't had a problem. Here are the plugs Trick Flow suggests for their LT1 heads:
Autolite 3924
Champion RC9YC
NGK FR5
Also, when I had open headers my o2s were constantly on the lean side, so your PCM might be seeing it running lean and dumping fuel in.
hope this helps a bit.

If you think you can tune with fuel pressure then YOU are the problem.
Open headers within about a foot of the O2s and there will be fresh air reversion making the O2s see a false lean and the pcm will add fuel.
On plugs platinum does not belong in an engine like this so scratch that guys recommendation even besides the fact you need different plugs for the Trickflow heads.
You are throwing money at your car rather than research and knowledge, good luck, you need it this will be a long, slow, bumpy road.

i have a 383 with stage 2 heads, 236/244 cam with over .600 lift, 30lb svo injectors and a mail tune and i am running those delco platinum plugs, i was reccomended by a speed shop to use them because all of the aftermarket plugs are ****.

Got the correct plugs... Check
Now im waiting on the motor to cool b4 I check them again. Im gonna get my UMI TA in so I can bolt on the rest of my Exhaust. The S&W kit thats was in my car from when I had stock exhast, does not alow room for the ORY. Thats why I was running open headers.
How much pipe is needed behind the O2's to get a propper reading?
Thanks
Pete
