Damn, I thought those were spark plugs. Haha, just giving you a hard time man.

Check all of your turn signal bulbs to see if they're blown. I think I remember hearing that will happen if a bulb is burnt out.

Try replacing your flasher. Here is a link to show you where it is. I would imagine the location was the same for all of 93-02. Should be a few bucks at Autozone.

I had the same problem becasue the bulb sockets in the back had way too much grease in them when i bought it and there was some corrosion/rust. I just cleaned it up and no more problems.

Yea, get the headlights up if you need the room and wedge your arm down there. The bulbs will come right out.

The same crap is happening with my car. Replaced all the bulbs and ****, and it still freezes every once and awhile. Have not figuired it out. But I know that if I turn my headlights off then on, the thing will start flashing again. Weird.

I am going through wiring hell right now too, first none of my turn signals would work then I played with them for a while and left would do nothing and right would make them both work, finally I found a bad socket and replaced it and now all signals work but left rear brake lights dont work! And yes, I replaced all bulbs first. Anyone have any ideas?

clean out every socket. or get a flasher. but if the hazards blink then there is no need for a flasher

not true..... the hazards are on a separate flasher than the turn signals... ive replaced my turn signal flasher twice, but never had to replace the hazard one

There are only three things that have caused my turn signals or flashers not to work.

1)Bad Bulbs

2)Bad flasher unit and there are two of them. One at the back of the fuse panel box and one under the dash located just under where your fuel gage is, if I remember correctly. It is hard to see.

3) Bad sockets, I replaced all of my rear sockets just to be sure at the same time.

All of these parts are available at your local parts store.

you can get the flasher from autozone, napa, etc...they have a part no listed for it...

as for finding it, its the one on your right if you're looking under the dash, there is one just to the right of the trunk release, that one is the hazards, the blinker flasher will either be connected to the right side of the steering column (theres a clip that holds it up there) or it will be somewhere down on that side of the dash when you take the panel off, i found mine had fallen back behind the hvac controls right where the console and dash meet...you can see the cables going back there, IIRC its a purple cable, or the actual connector at the end of it was purple.... it shouldnt be too hard to find... it will look like a metal cylinder with a cable plugged into the bottom end of it. and it should have a clip surrounding it (thats what holds it to the steering column but most likely it will have fallen off the steering column)

hope this helps... its been a year or 2 since ive changed one so im going by memory as to where it is, but i know its the one on the right side of the dash, not the clearly visable one over by the trunk release button

from my experience a bad bulb won't necessarily cause the blinkers not to blink, i think usually they blink faster... and this may only happen if both lights are out in the front or back... i had a lot of electrical issues with mine where sometimes only one of the rear taillights would blink on a given side, and the bulb was still good but acting like it was bad, but it still blinked....

FWIW those little corner bulbs on the taillights do not effect the blinkers at all i dont think...i had one burn out once and the blinkers still worked fine
