How would head gasket be an issue here? Yes a head gasket will cause your car to overheat but I think you would have been in deep **** before now. If it's a head gasket, the water in your radiator is gonna move into the bottom end of the engine and mix with your oil to get the milkshake like appearance. And continued operation would degrade your oil and you would have wiped at least one of your main or rod bearings.

Not trying to be a jerk, but I suggested you get a coolant check about three pages back. It's cheap and it will save you a lot of time and maybe some money. It only cost $50 to $80 and probably cheaper if look around.

Not true about the water in the oil. My head gasket was bad and I had warped heads and my oil was clear gold. You can have a leak in your head gasket big enough to let exhaust mix with the coolant, but not mix with the oil IF you catch it soon enough. The problem is when you keep on driving it with the overheating problem which will warp the heads even more, THEN you get coolant in the water.

Trust me. Unfortunately I've been through this.

Right there are several instances of blown head gasket, but I gave only one.

No, you need to have a test done on the coolant itself. The test will tell you if exhaust fumes are mixed in with the coolant.

I'm throwing a P1641 and a P1642 code..one's a MIL lamp and the other's a speed circuit... and my bird now overheats like nuts...I've read through this thread and I'm about to run down and get a 180*, and a sensor that goes into the front of the water pump...other than that I'm about to check my fan fuses and make sure my fans aren't blown as they do NOT come on. I was almost at the red line mark and I still didnt hear anything.

well like ur uncle said the car is made to work with those parts so you shouldn't have to modify it just to keep it cool why dont you 1st check the fuse for the fans and 2nd as for the relay you can swap them with your abs or smog pump relays they are all the same ones. just let the car idle with your stock thermostat in it. just fix whats broken first dont tear anything apart unless you have to. any car with no fans is gonna over heat, next make sure nothing leak cause if leaks of course it'll get hot but a leak can also suck in air, creat pressure and push water out. if your water pump is good you can pull the cap off and watch it push water and to check the thermostat when the is cold the top hose will be cold to then when the car reaches half of the gauge the thermostat should open up and push hot water in the radiator and make that top hose hot. so i hope this helps you out but like i said you shouldnt have to mod the car for it to run cool
