Engine turns but wont start........
Engine turns but wont start........ Finally put my new motor in and hooked up everything.
I got spark at the coil and at the plugs. Fuel press. is at 35-40psi. New opticrap, new batt.
Motor turns over and spits and sputter through the headers but wont turn on.
Valves are set correctly cam and crank are dot to dot. Spark plug wires are in the proper place where they should be. I am running out of ideas. Anyone out there might have an idea let me know. Thanks in advance.

Re: Engine turns but wont start........ how old is the gas in the car, are you 100 percent positive you have the wires on the right cylinders, are the plugs gapped correctly, are there any leaks along the intake path after the MAF sensor, have you disconnected the fuel lines from the intake and activated the fuel pump to see if the fuel is flowing freely through the lines, did you lube the air filter(possibly too much causing the engine to starve)?
Re: Engine turns but wont start........ i am 200% sure the wires are in place, even if there was a leak after the MAF the motor should still start, it will run like crap but it should still start. new air filter. im thinking its the dam fuel. i still need to check to see if the injectors are spraying.

Re: Engine turns but wont start........ This is what i would do. Unplug the maf. TRY starting the car. After it dont start open up the tb blades and take a smell. If you smell lots of gas then your getting gas. Another thing to try is. Hold downt he gas pedal all the way when you start it. I had a hard time starting the car after my build this summer. And this trick worked. Once it starts let of the gas and hold it down to what ever you need inorder to keep it running for a while. Did you check to see if your getting spark at all the plugs. You will know if you have them miswired casue right before it goes to start you will hear the motor kick back. Let us know how you make out
