You need to read the rules posted on http://www.ltxshootout.com/ there are diameter limitations in every class except brackets. Extreme street is 27 inch for a slick or dot slick.

I have read the rules about 30 times now is why I am asking questions and trying to get clarifications. Nothing more man

Speaking of Extreame street. When you guys say "Stock Intake" how modified can it be? We have a second car we might bring for this class.

Standard ported stocker ok. No cutting welding etc will be allowed in this class.

LOL I guess we will leave it here then.

I do not think we even own an LT4 itake that hasnot been welded on. The only thing close is one welded on the bottom for a Hidden direct port kit

Would have been nice to bring a second 10 second LTx

Thanks Jeff!

what about just welding the top of the runners to port for a tad bit more flow? the stock intakes are really not that friendly for making high horsepower on n/a and n2o applications. imo....

Frans96SS,

how "close" have you come? just curious.

My car really fits into Extreme Street except for the tires but I guess I will go out and spend some cash on some 27" tires to run in Extreme street.... But if things work out I might run in both...including LTX Heads up Power Adder if they are run in a way that can be done............

This is going to be a awesome race........

I so hope for a big car count so we can show the the racing community that there is the support for this kind of racing................................

.
We could work with that

The car is the second SSEFI.com Shop car. Hits that scales at 3,810Lbs and Jim is not interested in makeing it lighter.

How about welding not related to the ports or maybe just a little above the ports?

I sent an email to the address on the site asking what it would take to make room for LTX B-bodies to race. I just started threads on the ImpalaSSForum and NAISSO boards to see how much interest there would be.

Only 2 classes would be needed for B-bodies (and maybe even trucks?)
Heads-up NA & Heads-up Power Adder each with a weight minimum. I would suggest 4000# with driver.

I realy don't think any welding would be in the spirit of this class. Hell I don't even have any welding on my intake, the old LT1 intake gets a bad rap it flows enough for the typical heads availible with a standard port job.

Tony Shepard make the call on this one you have my two cents.

I say stock ported intakes only for that class. No welded intakes. That class is more for the average LT1 owner who would like to see a level playing field. Keep it simple. The vast majority does not have welded intakes therefore if we allowed them only a select few would greatly benefit from it.

The 6-speed class is intended to be more of a street car class that is why it has those restrictions.

Let me think about that.

Well from what I see I cannot run, all of them say"no converted SBC heads" well that puts me in the stands.

Along with my 325/50 drag radials and 3800lb raceweight......oh well.

You can run Outlaw or brackets. I would love to see your car there. Tell me about your heads again?

Are there any cars with converted 23degree heads worth worrying about as competition?
