ok this my sound confusing i have a pcm that was tuned for a CC306 and not for the CC503 that i have in it. but theres guy on here that run this cam with a stock tune.
and when i run it my headers turn red hot almost instanly my friend said it sounds like the timing is retared alot becuase from 3k rpm and up it sounded good but anything under it just pops and sounds like crap.
i think im going to rip the cam out and put it back in. just for fun

Do you have anything to scan it with like datamaster?. Also does it always idle at 2k?, I see it struggling to rev as well. The 503 isnt what I would call a big cam and Iv seen plenty of cars with it on the stock tune make it work. If you have tunercat, i can send you stock file to start from and go from there. I also have a tuned file for a 503 cam but every car is different and may need tweeks here and there.

no i dont have any tuners but like you said 503 isnt a very big cam and it doesnt want to idle i have to play with the gas to keep it running and it takes alot to get it to rev up. and sometimes it wil stick at 3k rpms for a little bit then it just dies but why would my headers get so hot?

Turning the headers cherry run is usually a good sign of an extremely rich condition or the cylinders not firing the fuel they're given.
Possibly try to check your ignition / oxygen sensing systems.
A scanner would help too but that goes without saying.
