Default Shorty VS Long tubes

How much better are long tube headers versus somthing like the bbk shorty headers?

everyone says long tubes are the way to go, i still have shorties on my car but i'll upgrade when i get some cash

You wont get alot of gains with shortys, IMO LT's are the only way to go.

Long Tubes scanvenge the exhaust gases which give you more power unlike the shorties.

The new XS Power stainless longtubes are less than a month away from debuting. If they sell them at the same price as their LS1 headers, we'll be looking at a stainless longtube option that costs about the same as Pacesetters.

Oh dont get me all excited. Ive been waiting for those, once they come out the pacesetters are going in the trash and Im doing stainless from the heads back.

Its hard to find long tubes that work with the 93 that I have. I cant seem to find any that will work.

Man, if you can learn anything from my experience it's do it right the first time. I bought Edelbrock shorties when they were new and cost me almost as much as Kooks Longtubes...buy longtubes, that is if you don't have to pass emissions...

I am suppose to pass emissions but they dont realy do a visual. They hook up the sniffer and see if it blows too much crap out. I was thinking of the mac midlengths.

totally different ballgame on shortie's vs. long tubes. There are reasons you won't see shortie's on race cars.

i was gonna go with Shorties for my Vette but the more i looked into it the more i've found that LongTubes are above and beyond the best for the $$$ so i picked up some TSP Longtubes and O/R X-pipe~Cole~

If your keeping your car mainly stock, shorties will do just fine. If you plan on modding go ahead and get the LT's!
