Default Thunder Racing, OTVC-Side mount pics?

Thunder Racing offers their over the valve cover kit in two options, either over the valave covers, or side mounting brackets. If i get the set the attacehs to the valve cover itself, then i want to get a set of valve covers because they're taller and will require different length wire. However, if i get the side mounting brackets, it won't mess with my future valve covers or my wire setup.

Now, i would like to see actual ON CAR pics of what the side mounts look like? I have only seen pics of the wires being ran on the valve covers themselves. Any pics?

P.S: I have red wires now.

Aren't our stock cars a side mount to begin with or do these run over the headers and on the side of the valve covers?

these will run over the headers and have two mounts that bolt into the head itself.

The pics of my engine in the "Low Mount Alternator Setup" thread have the same brackets that the Thunder kit uses. They're from "Made For You." I just went with old skool billet looms instead of the plastic ones.

I'm surprised more people don't use the side mount kit. Aesthetics aside, it makes it alot easier to pull a valve cover if you have to adjust a rocker or something.

So are you running a standard distributor? Cause they won't work the way they are mounted in these pics with the opti up front.

No I'm running a Delteq setup. The coils will be mounted at the rear of the intake.

However, the looms themselves can be easily reversed to accomodate wires being run from the Opti at the front.

We used the side mounts on a 97TA with Mac headers ( they turn upwards near the brake booster). To me, they work better then stock but they are also a real PITA to work on. The big problem is the small bolts that hold the braces to the heads, real bear to get to and we had to use a few zipties as well. Might be easier with a more standard type header. Also worth noting is that you will have to remove the attaching bolts to get the valve covers off.
