10's on stock heads/cam...no nitrous :D
After some late night racing the last few nights, I hit up the track today. The stock th400 didn't like me all weekend, and won't give a 1-2 WOT shift at all, can't complain too much, I paid $250 for the transmission. Drove it about 500 miles this weekend, beat the crap out of it, and drove it to and from the track...

Today....first pass, 8lbs, 16 degrees timing, 91 pump gas, soft launch, lifting for a 1-2 shift
1.69 60ft
7.24 1/8
97.22
11.26
122.05
Next pass, 8lbs in 1st, 10.5 lbs in 2nd and 3rd, 16 degrees timing, 91 pump gas
1.64 60ft
7.088
99.68
11.009
125.27
Next pass, hot lapped, tranny really hated me
1.68
7.197
98.56
11.146
124.61
I then had my electric waterpump die on me. I went to a buddies house, pulled his off his car, and swapped it out at the track. I put in 110 gas mix with the 91 octane, threw on a new tune I wrote...bumped the timing to 24 degrees, added a little fuel so I could up the boost.
Still 8lbs in 1st, and 10.5 in 2nd and 3rd, lifting pretty good to get my 1-2 shift, running a little rich on the top end.
1.60
6.999
99.91
10.90
125.64
Final pass, hot lapped it, 8lbs in 1st, 11.5 in 2nd and 3rd, lifting for my 1-2 shift
1.56
6.94
100.07
10.80
127.82
Here is a video my buddy made from the track today...

That et and mph on the stock heads, stock cam, stock tb, stock pcm tuned by me, and stock intake makes me really happy, especially since I run the stock wheels and the car sounds like a stock lt1 with a catback when I'm not wot. Oh, plus it's currently my daily driver. I think had the tranny shifted correctly then I could've ran the 11lbs in 1st and went a 10.6x without much issue, not shabby for a 3500lb car.(weighed it at that)
I don't think adding the 8 degrees of timing really helped me much honestly, it's going back to the super safe 16 degrees and staying there.
I wish I could've found some 60lb injectors, I made these passes on 42lb ford green top injectors, 68 psi fuel pressure at wot, maxed out. Plus the maf is maxed out rather quickly, I'm still on the stock pcm tuned by myself also.
I have megasquirt sitting here to go on the car, then it will get some 96lb injectors, and a complete fuel system. Hopefully spring time it will go 9's on the stock heads/cam/intake/tb....in a STREET CAR

Hell yeah! Wish i had a bottom end in my car. My kit is capable of sooo much yet bolted onto a stock lt1 =/
I hope i can get the stock motor in 11's at our 8000 foot DA's... if it makes it long enough to get the track.
CONGRATS ON THE CRAZY TIMES!! Representing for the LT1 boys.

I built my own 2 stage boost controller, I am using a GM 3 port solenoid wired to a switch I have on my floor that I hit with my left foot(used to be used for my 2nd stage on my nitrous). I then run just wastegate(8lbs) then when I press the switch it switches on the solenoid, and then goes through a Joe P manual boost controller. The tune is for the higher boost setting right now, so on the 8lbs it runs rich, but I think I have a way to fix that soon, going to do some testing hopefully soon with an idea I have.

Kick *** time, I saw you're car make the 11.00 pass, it looked pretty damn good. One of you're friends said "oh man, he's gonna be pissed", if I hit 11.00 I'd s#!t my self! I was to come over and meet you, but I was to busy running the hell out of mine. Congrats on getting into the 10's!

Thats awesome man. There was a white vert z28 down at Beech Bend on sat while I was there that was running 10.80's @ 135!! on a 355 (pistons only so he claimed), stock ported heads, stock intake, stock cam. It was a th400 car as well. It did have some suspension and a 12 bolt under it. The kit was home made but I believe he was running 14lbs if I remember correctly.
The car didnt come out of the hole hard at all but got real nasty around the 60 foot mark.
