On a side note, that kid TOTALLY looks like an import owner too. You should edit his monkey *** out of the pic! It makes your Firebird feel bad.
^LOL, it's true!

Awesome job, dude! It's gonna be mint when you're finished with it. Very clean work!

I think he did get real WS6 wheels. The ABS wheels in the pic are probably the stock wheels.

It looked like a maroonish color. Kid driving looked @ 110lbs. 5spd car, acted like a GSX.

I live near Warren....I work in Masury up at Dynatek. I have a 92 GST I daily in the winter...nothing too crazy. Just a bunch of home ported stuff....13psi 100mph traps sorta thing

I tossed a 190 at it though, so I guess I can turn up the wick a little in the spring. Not bad for a stock exhaust sans cat

You work at Dynatek but got a Trans Am, like a guy I know down here owns 3SX Performance (specializes in 3000GT/Stealth) and drives a Vette. You guys know where it's at and who to sell go fast parts too

I don't know who the kid was. But my friend working on the talon in my garage with me said he thinks he has talked to you online before. I believe his screen name is philabaum03, he used to have a white 2g, and another 1g.

The WS6 rims are in my other gargage, the stock 16" wheels are on the car right now.

I'll try and snap pics in the morning and throw them up. I got the motor cleaned up, trany cleaned up, sandblasted and cleared my waterpump, got my radiator and light bar back on, etc, etc.

brings back memories...only one problem which i ran into as well. When welding your holes up did you leave the hole on the radiator support for the plastic retainers that sit behind the headlights? I forgot to and ran into issues later when i put them on, hopefully you didnt make the same mistake

Hmm...not sure if I know him or not. Maybe I've seen him out.

This was mine..

fergymoto-
Haha, I hear ya. I love my T/A, but I'd rather wrench on the stang (way easier). IMO the fbodies are a way better platform though. Just alot harder to work on...which makes me not wanna go crazy with mine.

here's my stang anyhow..

sorry for whoring up the thread

I didn't weld much on the radiator support, I should be good. So far the only thing I did was weld 2 holes on the driver side wheel well that the inner fender bolts to, but a drill can fix that easy enough.

Cleaned up the intake. Notching out the TPS tonight and touching up the paint in one spot then reassembling it.

Cleaned up the motor a bit.

Changing the pan gasket. Pulled a rod cap for the hell of it, bearings are mint.

Cleaned up the trany. I need to drill and tap the shifter bolts as 2 of them are stripped. I also still need to purchase a bellhousing. I found one, I just need to make a few bucks to get it.

Squeaky clean.

A few parts that need cleaned and POR15d.

Engine parts. I got the correct pickup for my melling HV oil pump so I can put it on this time around.

Starting to put things back together. Wow is it dusty in there with all the body work hah. I try to keep it clean to.

Oh well i'm going to try to get the gaskets I need tonight and get my motor back together and set it back in the K member. Mayby do some other stuff. More pics to come.

Which unbeknown to me wasnt even registered in his name and was using the wrong plate. What a night, but I'm going to sleep I'll post that story later.. lol

I can't believe I missed this thread, I also did the clean engine bay like you did, deleted everything not needed and filled in the holes.

Damn dude, it's coming out awesome! Makes me want to start cleaning mine up. Of course I'd have to throw some more goodies in there while I was at it

I have to at least go over some of my hack job wiring, lol.

Keep up the good work!

Painted the Talon tonight as well.

Got the hookup on the paint and still had 500+ into it. Having a friend that paints sure is nice Thanks Richy.

Lol it's just the melling plastic sleeve that holds the metal oil pump drive to the metal oil pump hah. All the important pieces are metal.
