Why would you solid mount a turbo to the chassis?

As soon as the engine starts torquing, its going to try and tear that off. IC piping can move a little in couplers, but that's staying rigid to the exhaust.

No disrespect, but that talon is barftasticly hideous. Deformed laser nose on a 1ga talon + color and how the roof is trimmed.

UGH.....

Unless you are using flex before and after.....seems like not the greatest idea. Why not fab a mount to the block?

I like the looks of those front ends better than the pop up head lights.

6 inch flex pipes are going between the manifolds and the turbos. The turbos are heavy as ****, no sense fabing big long heavy supports running all the way to the block. They would have to be long, awkward, and heavy to support the turbos where they are located.

So we managed to get my TA outside to throw a New Years party in the garage... I wake up the next day to find out it had snowed a foot in the 9 hours I slept and my car was a TransAmsicle LOL.

$100 in stuff to do body work goes real fast.

Got the car in and thawed. Removed the rear bumper cover and bumper support. The only parts I have not removed on the entire car, and off course I found some rut behind them. Cleaned that up and I will POR it next time I POR a big batch of stuff.

Interior all out to make way for the cage and to run some new wiring for a consolidated audio system and moving the battery in the drivers side of the trunk.

Some day I will see that view again! lol Dash and wheel is the only thing left in the car.

Not bad for a new, self taught welder eh?

Didn't get much done this weekend. Started body work, trying to paint in before the end of the month. I got both manifolds about 90 percent done. Need a little more welding and clean up. Got the DP on the pas. side ready to weld. Need to connect the manifold to the flex pipe and finish those welds.

I'm ordering a Wolfe 6 point cage in the morning

Well here's some pics.

Drivers side. (Fair amount of clearancing for the steering.)

Intercooler piping should be really short.

Seams everyone quite commenting after they finished making fun of peoples fashion styles in my pics hah.

No problem haha. I'm definitely putting another coat of POR on after all this, mostly from cutting and welding places and I found a couple spots I missed. I've been banging **** off the POR for a while though and not a nick anywhere!

I've been seriously thinking about painting my engine bay the yellow color I'm painting my exterior, but I've always loved black engine bays with other color exteriors... I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Hopefuly I can finish up the hot parts most of the way tonight. Trying to gather a few friends up so we can have one big party sanding my car to aha!

All the hot parts are ready to be disassembled and welded. Not bad for only 3 nights of work.

Good job son, you're doing well. If it wasn't for me you would still be riding a purple 1996 KX80 and building Jimmys. LOL
