I'm still alive, just incredibly incredibly bussyyyyyyy! But I have made a little progress on the car, although it turned into way more than what was planned at first so it's taking longer because of money mostly. Time is still a factor though.

It's painted now, still needs wet sanded and buffed. As it sits now the fenders and doors, and hatch are all on. Some of the interior is in. I need to get my pump controller and wideband and then install them and my cobalt EGT and Boost gauge before I can put the rest of the interior in. The exterior will be all back together as soon as my friend Richie (my firend that painted the car) comes over and helps me wet sand and buf (I'll efff it up).

I have everything for my motor but a crank which I will be sending a money order for one to a member on here wed. It will be and Eagle crank (3.750), Liberty 4340 H beam rods, JE pistons -31cc (4.030), MLS head gaskets, stock heads with slight work by me. Splayed 4 bolt main caps, ARP head and main studs. I have a small comp cams custom blower grind cam for it.

I have a stock intake with slight port work by me and I'm fitting a 90mm throttle body to it from a Infinity Q45. I have a intercooler from GMR speeds TT kit. I'll be using 2 Precision 67-65 ball bearing turbos. Shooting for 15-20 lbs of boost. Engine management will be done with an EMS Pro standalone, with wastespark LS1 coils, and 79 Lb hr injectors. Aeromotive pump controller and A 1000 pump, sumped stock tank.

Hmmm thats about all I can ramble off right now. Hopefuly the exterior and interior will be done by next weekend. Me and Fergymoto should be putting the motor together next weekend aswell then I can get the motor and trany in and the tq arm done. Here's some pics I have from the fresh paint, and some I just took tonight.

Underneath...

Intercooler...

Blue Pearl!

Richie layin down some paint

Aftermath

Need to wet sand and buf before the spoiler and mirrors go on.

Cutoff switch

Battery box. The pump controler is going right infront of the battery box.

2 12s and amp. Still need to get a Bit Viper anntenna

Starting to look like an interior...

Still need to run the crotch strap through the seat and have the ripped seam repaired in my drivers seat.

Made a little bit of IC piping. Yes it does fit under the hood, yes I did have to cut a bunch of fiberglass out of the bottom of the hood.

Making a mesh grill for the opening.

Looks a little like a car!

Perhaps this has already been addressed, but hopefully you aren't running a HV pump w/ the stock oil pan?

I'm either going to be using a modified stock pan or a modified summit 7qt pan. I would use the stock pan though but I want more oil, I'm not doing it for the HV pump sucks the pan dry, that's total BS.

I don't have that much faith when there hasn't been any other explanation as to why it happens. Love the build. Looks like the car is going to be a beast!

Did a little porting tonight. I only have 2.5 hours in one head and I have the general shape I want in all the ports but one intake port. Hopefully after work tomorrow I can rough in the other head and smooth both them out.

Did I mention I never ported heads before? lol We'll see how they work I guess!

If my crank comes tomorrow I'm trying to have my rotating assembly balanced by friday and my shortblock together by monday!

^ I can tell. It appears you started with a carbide bit as you have about a billion chatter marks. You should have started with sanding cartridges and gotten used to them. They removed material slowly and you get a better opportunity to see what's going on before it's too late. Try and go over what you've done already with some. They'll help clear out your chatter marks. Also only turn it on inside the heads. I'm not sure if that's what caused the marks on the combustion chambers or if you had the shaft of the bit galling.

I would have been there forrreeeevvvveeerrrr starting off with sanding cartridges, but I did try to leave enough material there to still be able to take enough off with the sanding cartridges to get all the chatter marks out.

The CCs are chattered up because I took that hump off around the spark plug, they need gone over with the sanding cartridge to.
