Default 94-95 Z28 underhood harness!

I am swapping a LT1 into a 1996 V6 Camaro for my brother, it will be his first car. I have about everything I need except the underhood harness. Not the engine harness, the underhood harness. Does anyone have or know where I could get this harness for a 94-95 Z28? Thanks!

I'm doing the same thing except for a '97. Going to post up some pics later. Keep us posted on how it goes I could really use a good swap guide. Witch harness are you talking about? The battery cables?

Under the hood you have a harness that contains wiring for everything but the motor. It includes the fuse box, ABS circuits, fan circuits, headlight circuits, power, things that run to the interior, etc.

Oh yeah. For what it's worth I knew a guy a couple years back that had the same problem. I think he ended up doing some splicing and soldering. Not sure it's been a while back.

yeah, that's the body/chassis harness.

It's pretty big.

Your best bet might be to go to a junkyard and see if you can find a good one.

Yeah he could do that but he wants to keep it "stock" so shops and dealers can work on it while his brother is at school or he is out of state.

If it's obd 2 whats the differance in the body harness from the v6 to lt. I have a 94 v6 that i'm going to do the same thing to after i pull the motor out of my 97. I just planed on getting a engien harness for a 95 camaro and tosing it all in there, but with the obd2 you dont need the emissions to actually work (program out). whats the problem your running into.

I am putting this car together for my brother and he will go off to college next fall. So the thing needs to be set up just like a '95 Z28. That way if there is ever any kind of problem, shops or dealers will be able to work on it like any other normal car. He will just have to tell them it's a Z28. If I was always going to be around, then it wouldn't matter. I would just splice wires and make it work.

Hawk's Third Gen has them but they want $250. I think that's a little steep considering its a part of the car that is usually scrapped anyway.

That's actually not too bad imo, considering that used engine harnesses can go for $100-$150 and that harness is a lot bigger.

It's a lot bigger but there is no demand for it. I have never known of anyone needing one untill I myself need one LOL.

yeah, so the seller can charge pretty much whatever he wants, since there's so few people selling them.

have you tried to find on in a junk yard, or find someone that is parting out a Z28? It is just a thought.
