Default NEW SS Hood 93-97 Fit with 98+ Underside

Well I just bought a new SS hood off of ebay. It has the fit and looks of a LT1 SS hood but the underside is like a LS1 SS hood. I haven't seen anything like this before nor did I find anything about it on this website. It's perfect for me as I am in the middle of swaping a LS1 into my 94 Z28. From the looks of it it should allow for the LS1 airbox without cutting. I can let everyone know how it goes when it gets here. From the sellers feedback he seems to be a very good seller and people like his products a lot.

id be cautious about the front corners of the lid. looks like thoes curves should bow out a little wider near the latch plateau.

I like the SS Dominator hood they have for 98-02. I emailed them to see if they make it for 93-97.

Well I actually don't have a LS1 Airbox to test fit it as I sold that because the donor car also came with the K&N FPIK, but I'm sure someone in the area has one that I could test it with to see. If it does then this could be a cheaper way to get a SS hood for the LT1, with better flow of a LS1 Airbox, rather than getting a actual LT1 SS hood and the having to buy the expensive air box kit. If not then it doesn't.

Personally, I don't think the LS1 hood flows right (visually) on the LT1 as it does on the LS1s.

do you have anymore pics of your friends car w/ that ls1 ss scoop? i've been looking for some good pics of that hood on an actual car but haven't been able to find any. looks pretty good so far.

no, only one i got sorry.

you might notice that the alignment is slighty off with the fenders... the hood is actually lower. however this is not the hoods fault, because the fenders on that car had been raised to fit the stock hood after a slight fender bender. the overall fitament is very good on it.

Yeah, I was going to go with a Ultra-Z hood too until I found this one becuase I really wanted a hood that flowed smoother with the rest of the body. But l I'll let you guys know if the air box fit's or not if I can find someone around here willing to lend me there airbox for 10 minutes.
