Default What would my time be?

I have a flowmaster muffler and a k&n air filter and ran a 14.4 at 97mph street tires 60ft 2.0 ..What would I run with a cold ari intake and a magnaflow exhaust?I had a new cap n rotor plugs plug wires water pump and a high volume oil pump put on..Its winter here so it would run better now than then..

I dunno if its me but that seems kinda slow for being with a 2.0 '60, whats the elevation of the track you raced at? You may pick up 3 tenths or so I would guess by adding a CAI and Catback and pick up a couple mph.

I ran 14.3-.4 @97-98mph with a 2.2-2.3 60 ft bone stock.
ran a 14.0-.1 @97-98mph with a 2.0-2.1 60ft with CAI(borrowed), Airfoil, Flowmaster muffler, Lakewood LCAs, Drag bags, and SFCs.
13.6-.7@99-100mph with a 1.9-2.0 60ft added longtubes, h-pipe, bullets, 3.42s, shift kit, stock air filter assembly.
13.2-13.3@100-102mph with a 1.7-1.8 60ft added Vig 3200 stall and Madz tune.

all runs are full weight car, 3680 with me it.

My 94 was 14.0 at 100 bone stock with 2.73s. CAI made NO difference, if anything I got a little slower. Magnaflow won't make much difference; you're still restricted up front.

I'd be tempted to look at the cat for clogging; I'd say you're a little slow.

Of course, you just gave up 5-10 hp to run the high volume oil pump.... that you didn't need. Stock would have been more than fine, unless your engine is developing a bit too much clearance in the bearings, in which case you need to be thinking about a rebuild or fresh short block, not how fast it'll run.

My car bone stock with a bad fuel pump went 14.4 @ 97 MPH w/ 2.21 60'

With a CAI, Hooker 3" Catback, New Street Tires, Air Foil, Walbro 255LPH FP, 2.73's and Free Mods it went 14.0 @ 101.95 with a 2.19 60'

Then with 3.42's, Almost Bald MT ET Streets, STB, Gutted Cat, 160* Therm., a tune, and Bogging REALLY BAD off the line went 13.8 @ 100 MPH w/ 2.3 60'

All runs were in street trim including A/C still on the car!

Some cars run better than others, but I'd say your car runs about right...

Hell my friend had a 93 M6 that ran 13.6 bone stock, and after he modded it; it NEVER ran faster than a 13.9 EVER. He needed a tune bad though. And he would spin like crazy.

Well a CAI, is a much needed mod for when you upgrade your car. And when you mod it a full exhaust will also be necessary. So I'd at least do the CAI. And a full exhaust will still help. If not right now, later on when you put $ into the motor. I would buy them both. Personally. I'm getting my LT's really soon. They help alot.

I'd defintily buy a CAI kit, I'm saving up for one now as my very next money mod. Having longtubes is very much worth the cost in all aspects. Better sound, better performance, and makes spark plug changes a whole lot easier.
