Yes I've tried searching, but is a tune really necessary when you delete AIR/EGR?? Also are there any write ups out there on how to delete them??

You need a tune to keep the EGR from throwing a code. but i believe you can get away with the A.I.R with a resistor.

I am sure there is a write up somewhere. but it is pretty straight forward.
What specific ?'s do you have?

I believe it's "Yes you can, if you don't mind the SES/Check Engine light being on all the time". In which if it's on, then the fans are ALWAYS on.

Glad I was lurking around! I was wondering why my fans were on all the time. Need to get my tune loaded up! Thanks Formula350 for the info

For the EGR just leave the vacum solenoid hooked up and the pcm has no idea that the valve is missing. For the AIR just make sure and keep the fuse and it'ts the same thing. No codes or SES light. This works on my 94, but I've heard that obd2 is more sensitive.

NP Eric lol

I tuned out my AIR and EGR, but still I have to keep my solenoid plugged in or it throws a code right away. ARM my AIR is unplugged and out and no codes. As far as the rest of the plumbing I have yet to remove the AIR piping and the actual EGR. I just capped off the holes in the exhaust manifolds. Then again, mines a 93 and differs quite a bunch for tuning. I looked at a 94/95 once and wooo there's a difference!

At any rate, I corked off the solenoid just to make sure, as well as all the other vacuum line places on the intake and even EGR itself.

And Razor, to clarify, you're saying leave the AIR pump plugged in, but just not hooked up?

No, you can unplug it and throw it away. As long as there is a good fuse left in the fuse box it won't set a code.

^ True. I have my AIR taken out and my Check Engine Light has never came on due to that. I took the whole bracket/pump/and etc out of the car. Just had to cap off the AIR tubes with Radiator hose plugs. (Black Rubber caps that you would use to cover up a port on the Radiator if you delete a hose) They are sold at any Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts stores in the Help sections. They are like $3.00 or so.

Sweet, cause I'm about to install long tube headers on mine and I was wondering if it'll cause any problems. I dont care about the SES light(I took off the bulb on the cluster, lol).

I was mainly wondering if there would be any problem by taking out the entire EGR/AIR pieces and not having the car tuned for it.
