Default can i keep my stock cam and rockers?

I'm going to be adding some long tube headers, gears and a tune. I wanted to know if I need to replace my cam and rockers?

How much power can a stock LT1 cam handle?= If I need to upgrade... What's a good cam for daily driver?

How much power can a stock 1.5 LT1 rockers handle?= Again, if I need to upgrade... What rockers are good for daily driver?

I had all the bolt ons and a 150 shot N2O with stock rockers and cam

replace the cam and rockers if you want more power than bolt ons will give you.

I have a tune, gears, and full exhaust and stock rockers n stock cam. If you want you can upgrade your valve springs and 1.6 rockers if you want a lil more power out of it or a full cam swap. It's all about what your goals are. But since its your daily driver I'd stay w/ stock for best driveability and gas mileage

I don't want too much power. I'll be happy with 325-350 rwhp.

There is a lot of cams that would work good for a DD. A lot of people will have different opinions. I went with
Comps 260 XFI cam. I also like the cc503 cam witch some would say is on the big side for a DD.

Try a search there are a lot of good cams

I'd say you'd be making your target HP with 1.6 rockers and the bolt ons + tune. If you want to for sure make it, go with an electric water pump.

Have you done the free mods yet? Namely the TB bypass?

I forgot to mentioned that. I did look at the 52MM for $300 bucks or the 58MM for $210 bucks

I was wondering if the cc503 was emissions frendly to any nature, cause eventually I want a cam that will pass California smog cause I need to have a DD so it needs tags, I am well a weare that it will need to be tuned for any cam / 4L60E tranny.

With a good tune you can get a 503 to pass. I run a similar cam, and pass with flying colors.

If you want 325-350rwhp your gonna need to cam it. I would set a goal in terms of ET instead of dyno numbers, you could hit high 12's with full boltons, tires, and suspension. People have hit 11's with the stock cam with serious weight reduction of course but you dont need to change the cam or rockers unless you want for sound and a nice power boost or have nice heads for an odd reason with stock valvetrain and wanna really gain some power. But anyways there are plenty of good cams out there for DDing and all, check this out:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...200&highlight=

My cc503 idling at 850rpm, the car doesn't sound different when driving with a cam just idling just so you know:

BTW: I have a Professional products 52mm TB, its a nice piece and cost me I think $180 for polished. I see your looking at the 58mm TB, I wouldnt bother upgrading unless you atleast have a cam and wouldn't personally go 58mm unless you got heads. For future reference the intake manifold needs to be bored out to fit a 58mm TB the holes stock are 52mm so a 52mm bolts right up no problem.

325-350 with boltons + tune?

I don't think so. Maybe on an LS1.

The stock TB can support up to 450 hp. I agree that the number sounds high, but hey it is documented. Adding a larger throttlebody will increase throttle response, but will add nothing in power. If you are trying to keep it dd then add some things that will give you the seat of the pants feel you are after such as gears and if auto a good stall. Of course exhaust always helps and a CAI is good as well.
There are many off the shelf cams for the area of power you are looking for. The most complete and budget oriented is the Hotcam kit and it will definitely put you in that range. There is also the Crane 227, LPE 211 AND 219. The last three (AS WITH ANY CAM), will require to change the springs and roller rockers will further help them perform. A tune is also required.
Before you delve inot the project thoroughly think it through, set a goal and then match components that work well together to achieve that.
