Default 305's or 315's fitting

First off I understand this is the wrong section, but no one in the wheels and tires section will respond so here it goes. I was wondering what mods if any will be required to fit 305's or 315's under the camaro? The car is lowered 1-1.5".

Varies from car to car, and what size 305's and 315's? I'm running 315 nitto's on my car without any modifications.

your gonna need a wider rim first of all. Some people have had to roll their fender and use the bfh in their wheel well but there are quite a few who have fit 315's w/o any modifications

running 315 nitto DR's on TTM's 10.5 inch now with no problems.

Was running 315 BFG KD's on TTII's 11 inch before that with no problems.

Car lowered 2 inches.

I am running a 315/30/18 bfg on a 10 inch rim. I had to remove the bump stops and grind some of the wheel well. I am about to roll the fenders also.

Nitto's are actually a lot narrower than most tires so you can get away with running a wider tire on a narrower rim.

You should be fine. I saw one with 325's and that was starting to get a bit too tight.

I have a lowered 95 Z28, and the 315 would not fit without rubbing, though you can just pound the **** out of the wells and it will fit. 305s should fit no problem. I 295s just because that was what was readily available for the rim I wanted at the time. Wish I had gotten the 19s instead of the 17s though. go 19 or 20 for the heigth and it should fit.

You are wrong. The rim I have in American Racing for my 95 comes in 305 for 17s, 18s, 19s, 20s, any maybe 16 and 21, but not sure.

why do i always hear people saying they need to make space in the wells, cut the jounce bumper spacers, and roll the fenders to have bigger tires fit? and now people are saying all that doesn't need to be done? why do some people's fit and some don't?

Lots of little variables, weight of driver, weight of car, stereo setup/weight reduction, spring sag, prior owner may have made changes they didnt know about. etc.

That's hard to believe, but if you say so.
