Apparently the ticking noise was NOTHING anyone listed and it unfortunately took me taking off my header to find it. A loose spark plug. Thats it. Thats what all that noise was.

oh man that does suck to go through all that work to find out its something stupid like a loose sparkplug, at the same time i'll bet you feel really lucky thats all it was

just proves sometimes you just need to get back to the basics and check all the small stupid things first

Exactly, I learned my lesson. Think before jumping to conclusions.

That sucks. Did you have to tear off the header to find it?

Heck no, I was just going to let it leak until I put on the new LPP headers then my mechanic told me an exhaust leak at the header/head can sometimes cause a burnt valve so I got up under it and after a while I figured out what it was. It was weird, even though it was coming from the back of the intake, even under the hood it sounded like it was coming from the header flange.

been there with the plug issue, was using a snap on spark plug socket to tighten them and it was pretty thick on the end and binding in the head making me think the plugs were tight. bought the slp short socket and no more loose plugs. which helps when checking the plugs after using the nos. took me awhile myself to find that stupid tick to!!
