Default Any LT1 to LS1 conversion write ups out there?

I have been wanting to do this conversion since i rebuilt my 96 lt1. Dads wanting another 97 SS or Z28 but i suggested an LS1 swap. Anyone know what all you need to do the swap? what would this run you?
would this be possible with a 97 v6?

I'm not sure if he lurks around the LT1 area too much, but there's a guy that I see in the Street Racing and Kills section sometimes that has done the swap. I can't think of his user name right now though.

EDIT: I found it. His username is speedshifterNC

I want to do the same thing, but the only response any gives me is to sell my 93 z and get a LS1 car. But i like my car and want to keep it.

Exactly. I think I like the 93-97 style a little better, especially once an SS hood and some rims are added. That's why I'll probably just keep my car and build it up with H/C instead of getting rid of it after a while and buying an LS1 car.

Then you get a H/C LS1 that would run right with it..
Although a nicely built Stroker LT1 will suprise the hell out of a LS1.

This is mine here..I had a chance to get into my Photo Bucket.

I Built my own Harness..

Converted to LS1 Steering Rack

Converted to Non-ABS Brakes for more room..

Used Motor-Mount Adapter Plates..

Converted the Tranny Cross-Member..

And after hours of work, sweat, cussing and some thrown tools..went from this..

to this..

Do you have any new times yet? Or is my little 355 LT1 faster than your big cube LSX still?

Ran a 1000ft a couple of weeks ago..shitty 60' and was spinning to about 100ft out of the hole..had new Slicks and the Track was cold.

I got some QA1's and some other stuff on the way..once we get it biting I can see it in the high 8's..if not faster.

Some guy had a program there and we plugged in the Time Slip..in the 1/4 it would of been around a 11.27 at 125mph with that 1000ft pass above. Once it gets traction it will be nasty..
