^^^ haha.. me neither but, since it is,.... I think that blue mustang on the previous page looks pretty nice but, personally, I think that blue camaro trumps it in looks. Then again I'm biased cause my first car was a 3rd gen. Honestly though, that blue 3rd gen almost makes me want to sell the 96 and go back. haha...

i love foxes and owned/ and own a few of them, when done right they look nice just like alot of cars. I also love the looks of the irocs and 87 gtas, they both look good, but stock mustangs are pretty slow. ive worked on a few 94-5 5.0s and they are dogs, along with the non p.i 4.6s... im actually planin on swapin a 6.0 into my convertible, its tough to beat the cheap power and reliability of a chevy.. built ford tuff with chevy stuff

Foxes are over rated, period. They couldn't hang with the 350 tpi of the early 90's. The reason they are so popular is because the aftermarket was needed to make power so parts were cheaper. You have no idea how many times I heard "a 5-0 LX coupe will wreck a TPI", but I raced a good number of stock and bolt-on coupes and came out on top with my 92 GTA. I know I'm gonna **** a lot of people off but 5.0< LT1< Speed density 5.7 TPI.

Mustangs vs Camaros so much good and bad information. My personal experiance has always shown me that Mustang Owners tend to just be asses no matter how you treat them and those that know me know I am a pretty nice guy to everyone even ricers... although I have a hard time with them I try.
Frankly though there are some great ones, AZSonicSnake is a GREAT guy and he did the most for changing my mind and showing me the right Mustang Crowd. We all haze eachother thats the fun of it.
However as pointed out gears, weight power its all a different package. However this should never have needed to be brought up. It been done by Magazines for years:
http://www.fastcoolcars.com/z28_vs_gt.htm
For me I never liked the way the Mustangs looked inside or how they handled. They never seemed to be too bad on power but you could tell the Gearing was horrible.
I am honestly a 3rd Gen fan but I do love the look of the 4th Gens I have owned. I have thought about a few mustangs and I might try one some day but frankly the cocky owners I run into drive me nuts. I just want to enjoy the Enthusiast's not **** in your cheerio's because you choose a car I am not as fond of.
The bottom line to me Stock vs Stock is that the Mustang has always been behind until the F-Body was removed from the line up, then we got the 04 Cobra's.
But again its the attitudes I run into that kill most for me, but obviously in this thread there are quite a few with the same attitude... they are everywhere.
I myself will one day find myself a good looking Mach 1 to buy. I will buy it not for the build but because I like the way it LOOKS. From there I might be evil and do a GM build or I might try and stick with something else.
But I will enjoy the car for what it is just as much.

REALLY? Man you are crazy. This is just a QUICK example I pulled up.
![](http://www.gtscene.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/93-mustang-coupe1.jpg)
I started with Stangs, All my buddies had stangs back in the early 90's. My 89 LX hatch had 3.73's, off road pipe, pullies, shortbelt and ran 13.60's I would go out HUNTING for LT1 cars of ANY flavor. I dont remember ever getting outrun by any LT1 car at that time. In 1995 I put heads and cam on the car and it ran 12.70's@107, no head/cam LT1 outran me.BACK THEN.
A buddy had a 1998 Cobra, 4.10 gears, pullies, headers, exhaust,Secondary intake flap removed in 100* air in August that car ran 13.20 on nittos.
All you guys really havent experienced a well driven head/cam fox coupe. Most are capable of high 11's low 12's.
Later on I had a stock 88 hatch LX, 3.08 gear, pullies and a shortbelt. Still had cats on the car. Buddy had a 94 6 speed Z28. Headers, 4.10 gear, CAI,Airfoil, catback, free mods. I ran right beside him from a roll on, many many times. He looked like a deer in the headlights everytime I did it to him LMAO!!!!!! Ole car ran 13.80 on Yokohama 245 radials.

holy lord reading this thread took me damn near all friggin day! but wow what a ton of crap.
and the one comment i have to add is 99% of the Stangs have had more aftermarket because they sell more. more people have them making more potential customers for the aftermarket.
chevy's aftermarket is smaller because the cars are more rare, but they also start out faster.
we can go bak and forth for pages apon pages apon pages, **** i mean whats this page 14!?
and i am a huge GM loyalist, and i love the older fox bodies, something about 2000lbs [roughly] stirpped out and a big engine bay for a good GM motor just make me

and that LT1 in that fox body has got to be my favorite car of all time. that fox body looks mean, its a huge boat and has a larger engine bay then our cars.

Old thread.. but yeah.. I've beat these two kids at my school.. one with an 06 GT A5 and one with a new 07 GT M5 in my near stock LT1. Overrated in my opinion. I don't mind fox bodys though..
00's cobra's are nice in my opinion..
I raced my cousin's friend in a 1994 Mustang with a Vortech supercharger and somehow kept up with him until 3rd gear.. Idk how that worked out.. something MUST have been wrong with the car

Ok two things, one WTF is with the misspellings and not knowing the difference between "Know, no and Now"????? Jesus ppl!
Mistakes ok but its all over this thread...
Second whats with the Mustang vs Camaro 80's body Style and of course some Mustang Nut hugger had to go find a cowl hooded, non-stock rimmed Mustang against a Stock IROC... yeah there we go lets even the playing field... *Shakes head*
On a side note I looked at a 96 Cobra I think, it was that body style. I would not mind that body style even if it was a GT with the Hood and Bumpers to Daily Drive... but that means I would have to sell the MX6... nah.

Now I'll admit, i love the look and sound of a clean 99-04 gt, im in love with my friends 04 cobra, and ive seen some gorgeous fox bodies. that being said ive beaten my share too. i havent raced many, but the ones i raced when i was stock were beaten. not saying that they had 500 hp, but in stock trim or near stock they get eaten by lt1's. i raced a fox body that hit the purge before we took off, mustve been a small shot casue the my car only had CAI and blowmaster cat back. pulled him by afew cars. the other car i beat was a 03 gt with really nice sounds exhaust. he gave up when i was about a half car ahead.ive raced other im sure were bone stock and won, maybe 3 tops. but all five or so cars where beaten.i know my friends cobra can start in forth while in in third and pull me like he had a 100 mph head start tho

I get the biggest kick out of **** like this. I could give a damn who makes it. If its nice and runs good, who the hell cares?
I appreciate everything fast.
When I put my engine/trans in a coupe fox like is being done elsewhere in this thread, I will have the best of both worlds. ANd run low10's on pumpgas all motor. Built Ford tough with Chevy stuff as they say.
