I like the looks of the 91-93 GT/Saleen Fox Bodies. I never knew the guy that designed the escorts, designed the fox body. They do share a lot of characteristics with the escort. My uncle has a 90 LX 5.0 7UP convertible and it has 4,500 miles on it. It is a really nice car, but without the GT/Saleen body kit its missing something. Honestly, it is not a slow car. My uncle and I ran on the interstate and I pulled him by about 8 car lengths from 40-100. IMO, thats not too bad considering I am about 280-300hp and he is 210-220hp. He is lighter than me because weight is one of the HUGE advantages the Fox bodies have. I think it is great that there are Camaros and Mustangs because without competition, what would the world be? No matter what car you own, be it a Camaro, Mustang, Corvette, Ford GT, Viper, Lambo, Ferrari, etc., THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A CAR OUT THERE THAT IS FASTER THAN YOURS!!!!! People have different tastes and budgets. IMO the amount of power, torque, and gas mileage the LT1 offers is hard to beat for the money. That is why I choose to drive an LT1. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion because that is one of their basic rights. I agree that we all can be adults here and get along. If anything, we should all go together and race the imports. Imports have one major disadvantage and that is torque. They can make all the HP they want, but small cubes and 4 cylinders can't put that power on the ground. Remember, there is no replacement for displacement!!!!!

I really do not know if you can use that comparison, there is no technology with football, cars can progress in time with technology, I do agree that comparing lt1s to new mustangs is pretty horrible, it should be time period to time period....nowadays there is so much more technology from the factory and aftermarket that the lt1 world will never see...im not saying there isn't anything good for the lt1, I am saying that people have moved on to the ls2 and ls3.

You're taking my comments out of context. But nice try. Here is what I was originally commenting to (and you should have gotten this when I quoted him before making my comments).

I simply pointed out that there are other relatively quick mustangs that take well to mods and should get all due respect. Gee I wonder why you didn't give him your snappy football analogy when he says all mustangs other then the terminator cobras (which were not made between 93-97 BTW) are a waste of money?

Maybe because he owns a LT1? I'm sure that's it. Perhaps it's also why you failed to use that brilliant analogy whenever any LT1 guys say something like "I spent less for my car and mods then you did for your LS1 and can walk them all day".

And for the record, Vince Young isn't good enough to wash Joe Montanas laundry. Joe Montana is arguably the best quarterback of all time and Vince Young is still trying to prove he isn't a "bust". Again, that's just my opinion but it seems to be the popular one.
