well one time, this guy had a 04 cobra, cams, gears, cai, exhaust, 200 shot, DR's
I totally stomped on him 4-5 cars with my bone stock lt1

03mustgt you seem like a reasonable guy, and i wish you luck with your car. On some tires you should do fine! I don't launch my car too hard, i'm still on the stock rear and dont have the cash yet to get a 9 or 12

I read everything in this tread, so far some things are smart, some things aren't. I myself never said I HATE mustangs, I just don't like how MANY you see on the road, jesus ****, you drive two minutes on the highway you see 10 Muckstangs, you're lucky if you see one F body <----- FACT.

No problem with me, just don't talk **** about the LT1s or underestimate us, simply drive your 1 out of 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000 Mustangs in your own town, ur not impressing ANY Camaro/Trans Am owner, I guarantee you that. <----------- FACT.
I got some Mustang friends, as a matter of fact my best buddy owns a 96 Cobra, some cars are fast depending on what you do to them, stuck Mustang can simply kiss the Camaro's *** (Stock). Other than that, everything else really depends on what's done to the car, ANY car. <-------- FACT.
GM came up with the Camaros in 1967 to COMPETE with the Mustangs, we all know it and we all know they did a PRETTY DAMN GOOD JOB. They stoped making them in 2002 AND they are coming back soon. That's right, the 60-70s Camaros/Tran Ams look way better than Mustangs (I know to each his own but still), the 80s?!! Go ahead and park an Iroc Zee beside 80s Mustang, tell me which one makes you wanna go to the bathroom. And Thaaaaaat's right, the new Camaro will make your NEW Mustang AGAIN look like a piece of crap with 16" stupid star wheels, get a life and learn from GM.
Like one guy mentioned here before, DON'T THINK YOUR MUSTANG IS FAST JUST BECAUSE IT SAYS MUSTANG ON THE BACK BUMPER, your Mustangs aren't any unique or rare, every other house in this country owns a Mustang, they are cheap, very easy to get and very easy to impress 12-17 year old teens, PERIOD.

i think this thread is hilarious... im looking for a video, we once paired a stock 98 mustang(o/r xpipe only) against a stock 94 camaro(2k stall, and CAI) to see who won. most of you wouldnt believe the outcome. ill havto find the vid, my cousin might have deleted it...

1. the catfish pic was just posted as a joke, there are plenty of LT1s that looks just like LS1s so i dont see how it was an ls1 only pic..but w/e
2. i didnt come here to bash anyones cars, sorry if it came off that way, just wanted to point out that tons of people here are trashing mustangs and their drivers on false pretences.... i just fail to see why everyone here is better as a person because i drive "a piece of **** mustang" some of you need to get over yourselves, you are not better than anyone else because of your car....if you truly feel that way, i feel sorry for you that you need a car to hide behind as a person
3. fbodys stock for stock are faster than mustangs. period. i never tried to dispute that... and mod for mod, theyre faster still.... they also cost more if you compare the same year of each. and they have bigger engines.
4. i have no problem with fbodys or their owners anymore than stangs and their owners...if people are being jackasses, i will call them out no matter if theyre driving an fbody, a stang, or a ferrari

This thread is a joke. Maybe I've just run into the worst Mustang driver's on the planet, but when I was basically stock I have taken all but 1 Mustang I've ever raced (Except Termy's at the track). These ranged from 92-04 with the majority being 99-04 Gt's. I've beaten them all about 3-4 cars at least up to 80 from a dig and it was only getting worse with speed. I do have respect for some mustangs, but honestly all the modded ones I've run into- save one- haven't really even been close. I even ran a 98 Saleen SC (that's where I got the S/N) and we were dead even until about 80 when I started pulling away.
Here's the kicker, my DD the MR2, stock everything I ran into my friend's brother who has a '00 stang with an eaton at I think 5psi with full exhaust, intake, auto. We met at a stoplight and I ate his lunch. I got him by about 4 cars, and he's an auto. The best time he or my friend ever pulled at the track was a 14.4!? Bad driver's in every case, I doubt it...
Edit: I'm not trying to be a dick, but these are my personal experiences. I've never really been into Mustangs b/c when I was in driver's ed back when 98 GT's were fairly new they let me drive one and it felt like the most sluggish car I had driven
of course I hadn't driven much back then.
