wow after reading this thread, ive pretty much concluded there are a small handful of fbody owners that are not complete douche bags... and some of the comments made in this thread are so ******* ridiculous... my stock cavalier smokes mustang gts! my stock lt1 smokes procharged 4v mach 1s!! omg guys you mustang owners suck, compare an 02 ls1 vs an 02 cobra and you will see who wins!! yea, go find me a ******* o2 cobra in the united states....no wonder i hate most fbody owners....and the comment above mine is stupid as hell...for the price of a 99-04 gt, i could easily have picked up an LT1 or LS1...i got a mustang because i like it better as a whole...yes, LS1's are faster than PI 2v stock for stock...but i still like the car better...what i find funny is how people think that an LT1 is going to put bus lengths on a PI 4.6 ....i have no problems with LT1s and my mods are gears, cams, exhaust, and a cai

This is pretty sad. It's like the same schoolyard asshattery when these get drug into the lt1 vs ls1 threads with a bunch of ill informed bruised egos.
I've seen like 8 posts bashing the dude trapping 110 on stock gears mustang, yet I see no #'s from anyone else, but just blatant ignorance like 'ya that car sucks I went 13.x at blah blah slower. mustangs are dumb' Are you kidding me?
All things are are a #s game. Fbodies aren't ******* magical. Neither are mustangs. I could wipe floors in my 4 banger awd winter beater with half of you tools arguing. Does that make my car better? No.
Cars will weigh so much. Cars will make so much HP stock, so much TQ stock and get (x) gears stock. Any person with half a brain can figure out wich one is going to be faster STOCK. I think that if anyone wants to wander away from thier short bus for 2 minutes to EDUCATE themselves as an ENTHUSIAST, they will see that the mustang got short changed HEAVILY on the gearing end of most arguments, with a 3:27 being the BEST gear and only seen in later cars. I have a 94 GT with 2:73s stock. I have seen the stock 2:73d auto f bodies. Guess what they both have in common? Theyre slow. BIG difference from my 3:42'd m6 car. With good drivers, and you will see some really good/close runs with the pi2v cars stock for stock. Gears in a mustang, I have seen non Pi cars run lt1 cars on the street, same goes for 5.0s and its not like they don't respond at all.
Quit living under a rock and making excuses. I am completely befuddled by the ignorance shown in this thread and what seems to reflect on the street. Some of the dumbest most ignorant people I have ever met have been lt1 and stang kids. Each will put on a song and dance filled with lies and excuses.
There are 2 sides to every story, ups and downs on both cars. So stop freaking whining. 10 bolts suck, optisparks suck, working on an lt1 freaking blows. 4.6s are complicated to a 5.0, t5s suck compared to a t56, but at least I can work on a mustang without pulling my hair out. Heads come off a 5.0 without dropping the engine. Cam swaps are of ls1 ease.
Point being. Grow up and get educated.

I would have to agree with you, after taking my motor down to the front timing cover and the oil pan off last weekend, I can say the lt1 is a complete bitch to work on, but is a bad *** car to own. If I had a mustang, I would probably mod it more just because it is easier to work on, parts a little cheaper and more plentiful. To those who think a fox body mustang cannot be fast, and takes a lot to go fast, I would beg to differ. I like both cars, in the future I might own a mustang, but I will also be on corral.net or some other mustang forum, not trying to go to other forums sticking up for my car. This thread is inside LT1-LT4 Modifications, I know the owner of the thread put it in here, but it is not LT1-Mustangs

i really can't believe this thread. this sounds like the kind of highschool drama i would expect to see on an import tuner forum. "my VTEC owns Mustangs blah blah blah" i'll just say that my '91 5.0 ran 12.8 on motor and well into the 11s on the nitrous. were there faster camaros at the track? definatly. did i beat my fair share of LT1s and LS1s? absolutely. do i bash people for being slower of having a different tast? not at all. i wish i could find a forum where i can chat with car enthusiasts without having to deal with all the childish drama, grow up people.

imo the same guy who invented the 80's mustangs also invented the 80's escort...neither are my favorite vehicle, but damn they go fast
well...my buddys with a built 351 in it does. but...once again, the lt1 is faster.
