Well, Not too long ago I pulled near a late 90s Cobra, I didn't say a word but the guy that was with me put the window down and asked him to race, I was lucky we both got to the red light and we had at least 45 seconds to talk. He had a girl with him and started talking **** about LT1s like most people here said, I never met the guy or anything, so we decided to race and meet at Curcuit city in town.
I got on it, he got on it, I beat his ******* *** by at least 3 cars I swear, I got off the highway to the curcuit city exit, went to the parking lot and waited for him. He didn't show up, my buddy and I decided to go in the store to buy something, I come out around 15 minutes later and here I find my hood KEYED about 10 inches long .

Well, since then, I never met the guy or anything, it's a black Cobra, late 90s, very loud, been looking for the ****** so long.

Anways, just thought to share a story about the RUSTANGS, thought it would fit here. I myself respect Cobras, but why the **** would someone do something like that?

^^^^I've met a lot of Mustang owners that are just complete idiots. Most of them were ricers making the transition and didn't really know **** about cars. They just thought because it was a Mustang, it'd be fast. I was sitting in a parking lot with some friends and there was a kid there with a 95 Cobra. And he laughed when an LT1 pulled out and hammered it. He was like, "That POS is so underpowered that he had to crank the wheel to get sideways." I couldn't help but laugh, considering his car had a 5.0 with just intake and catback. Wow, it puts out a whopping 250 crank hp, if that, and nowhere near the torque the LT1 had. He then, proceded to tell us of how he kicks LT1's asses all the time. I just had my shitty 94 V6 at the time, so I wasn't going to try and start anything. There's just too many idiotic, overconfident Mustang owners out there. That's the main reason I hate Mustangs. A lot of the owners are just ****** who don't know crap about cars. They just think it's going to be fast because it says Mustang and it's a V8. I have nothing against the cars, just the owners. I won't own one, due to the name the owners give them. Plus, if a motor can't make power N/A, I don't really care about it. Anything can make power with FI or N2O. I'll admit that superchargers are pretty cool and sound awesome, but I'd rather make my power N/A, all motor.

I actually do not consider your car to be superior to mine, I only consider the LS1 to be superior. Your car IMO is on the same playing field, hence you have no reason to bash mine.

Exactly. Some of you need to learn a thing or two. A New Edge GT is on a level playing field with an LT1. I don't really care though, because Ford was way behind in the game. That motor didn't come out until 99 and it's still a little behind the LT1, which came out in 92. An LT1 only has a slight advantage over the PI 2v's. Add some mods and that gap does get bigger though.

So what makes the Ls1 so much better. 15-20 hp depending on which year lt1? And that's with perfrect conditions. If all you run is a 13.5 you got trouble if you want to talk **** to me! The only reason your car is on the same playing field is because of all the crap you got on it. Not knowing the power output of an lt1 compared to the ls1 show's your ignorance, but it doesn't matter which one you race because both are better than a fuckstang.

lol. Your ignorance of not knowing the LS1's power is more amazing. Most, put to the ground, what they're rated, at the crank. Some have even dynoed as high as 320rwhp bone stock. That's way more than a 15-20 hp difference from an LT1.

LT1 brakes are far far superior to a 1995 Mustang GT. Much better.

You are comparing a mustang with a 13'' upgrade to a stock z28's brakes. Compare a z28 with a c5 brake upgrade to the 13'' mustang brake upgrade. Plus the cobra IMO is not in the same class as the Z28. The GT is.

come on guys some of you guys are making us f-body guys look like a bunch of teenage fools. who cares what car has better brakes seriously? and there is no one and i mean no one on here who has the right to talk **** on another car cause i can guarantee there are faster cars than all of us. i personally am a camaro guy cause i know they are slightly stronger than the same year and same optioned mustangs

ex. I know my 97 6-speed Z28 is faster than a 97 5-speed Stang GT.

but i can tell you that i have lost to a mustang before it was actually a V6 with lots of spray. it looked like an 03-04 cobra but after he passed me i saw the "Nasty V6" tag.

come on guys lets not be so full of ourselves and respect anyone who has a faster car than you.

1/8 - 8.806
MPH - 82.84
1/4 - 14.479
MPH - 105.69

I was pretty happy for it being the first time!

Offtopic but was that 14.4 supposed to be a 13.4? I looked up one of my old slips and found this one:

60' - 2.108
330 - 5.805
1/8 - 8.776
MPH - 83.37
1000 - 11.337
1/4 - 13.511
MPH 103.79

Comparing the two slips you look on pace at the 1/8 for a 13 second slip but WTF happened on the top end. That 60' and MPH do not match a 14.4 ET.
