Question for you LT1 guys.

actaully if anyone comes out with these dream heads, they're going to be way overpriced probably ... seeing as they'd be basically the only ones out there
so ya, i wouldn't be able to afford them anyway.

- Available in two chamber sizes for a variety of combos.
- Thick decks
- Two different runner sizes. Like you have for the LS heads to support a variety of combos
- Amazing flow numbers
- Available with different rocker stud setups
- Changed valve angles like you have for the LS heads. Even a few degrees would be nice.
I'm no LT1 expert, but that's what I'd like to see out of a revised LT1 head. You did everything right with your LS heads, now it's time to use what you learned there and market it towards the LT1 crowd too. You could have the market cornered if you put out a head with better valve angles that would just bolt up.

You will need to separate your heads from all others available, put these things in a class all by themselves. If you do this, I doubt you will be able to keep them in stock!
What I would like to see...
Not alot of people want to switch over to a converted 18 degree SBC head due to all the additional cost. I have $1500+ wrapped up in my headers and Y-pipe, it wouldn't be worthwhile to run your heads if have to ditch all that money.
For the love of all that's holy... CAN SOMBODY MAKE A BETTER INAKE!!
What I would like to see...
- Various chamber sizes
- Large runner length, say one head at 210 and another around 230-240'ish
- Thick deck
- Pre-drilled for SBC intake bolt pattern, along with LT1/4 pattern
- 18 degree valve angle (or better), without having to use different headers and rockers
- Big flow numbers 300+

Here are the specs on our current LT1 as cast head.
62cc chamber
195cc Intake runner
2.02 intake valve
1.60 exhaust valve
OTB the head has a spring good up to .600" lift
Ferrea 6000 series valves
This head as cast the way you see it will support around 500 HP naturally aspirated.
I am asking what other improvements would you like to see to make it a better head for you guy?

18 degree with no modding, seperate yourself from the rest... damn it!
Your current heads don't offer any real performance for the dollar over a set of reworked stockers (in capable hands of course). All the after market MFG's keep putting out crap products for the LT1/4's, that are a half baby step above stock. We NEED/WANT something that's a leap forward.
We have all been saying this for years, but none of the MFG's seem to listen. They just go and design another set of heads (or any performance part for that matter) for the LS1 market. How many different style/type heads can you buy for a LS1/2/3... what, 40 billion or so!
Where did I put that brick wall... I need to smash my head into it!

What would be neat is, take a sheetmetal Hogans or the like and CAST it. We need more plenum volume and runner length.
OR a ready to bolt on Vic Jr type setup complete with elbow for our style throttlebody. Instead of having to do like Tony and most others, including me, buying stuff from 10 different places to get it together.

In case you have not noticed, on this board AND Camaroz28.com the LT1 world is blowing up right now, we are starting it up OURSELVES because no one has come to our aid.
Our OWN LT1 shootout has been scheduled in Kansas, MANY VERY nice cars have been finished here as of late...these cars WILL show the LT1's potential at that race. And when this happens the market will blow up. Guys are running mid 11's on STOCK PARTS, give us some good **** and watch what happens.
People love these cars...get on the bandwagon, be the innovators here.

If you want to sell heads then listen to these guys. If you want to make an improved product, well skip it because they wont believe it is improved unless you completely screw it up like they are begging for.
Maybe the only truely good idea I have seen sofar is a small chamber. Getting harder and harder to find good OEM cores for porting.

I would like to see a comepletly new head . If you could make them where you could bolt an ls1 style intake that would be nice and then we wouldnt have wait for other companies to make an intake for the lt1. a fast 90 on an lt1 would be nice. And I bet you would sell the **** out of these heads. Btw GOOD CNC work is a must.

i think this is simple...... just build a race head and a street head and make them out perform the others and not kill the customers pocket...... figure out and test on how to get the most possible power out of your heads and put it on paper! automatic sales right there
