The gas station attendants will look at us longingly for our expensive gas needs and our sexy automobiles. Eggs might be a useful ammunition as well for this protest tactic, we might even make the 10 o clock news... bad ***

100-105 octane. It does however burn at a richer optimal A/F ratio so it is about 15% less efficient.

atleast your guys jobs dont depend on the price of oil. my income has ben steadily falling for the last three years, if the price of diesel was the same as it was when I first started fishing(3yrs) I would be making $200-300 more a day than I am now. im only still making good money because we went from 4guys on board to just me and the capt. but if diesel hits $4/gallon the fishing boat im on is out of business, the industry will be out of business. unless of course the price of seafood goes up equally with the price of fuel. hahah yeah right. gas prices is a double burn to me. sometimes I feel like im just working for the arabs, specially when we have a bum trip and our catch just covers fuel, def working for the arabs then

HOWS THAT SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!

seriously guys If we got a bunch of guys together, enough to cover like 2-3 gas stations that are really close to each other I think it'd work for real. how f'ing bad *** would that be? spend all saturday hanging out, we could make it an f-body meet/sit-in, I'd love to see everyones faces when 4000 horsepower pulls in.

Actually its 30% less efficient. Which is a number to follow if you want to run it, 30% larger injector, 30% richer A/F.

Im pretty sure the 30% figure is only true if the PCM isnt tuned for it. You can do better than 30%.

Coupon = sarcastic term for ticket

you can sit in at a gas station all you want lol....they aren't getting the profits from the rise in gas....most stations barely make any money off of gas maybe a few cents a gallon

you're better off getting a huge amounts of fbodies and heading to dc and just parking your cars on the street in demonstration....would be pretty sweet to see hundreds of fbodies just lining the streets....we have that around here at trans am nationals where an entire city is cleared out just for firebirds, firehawks, gtas and trans ams

just imagine filling up the streets of d.c right in front of congress...that'll get those politicans attention

Agreed. Back in my public accounting days, I had a few clients that owned gas stations. Their prices are set by the oil companies, and they seriously make between 0.5 and 2 cents per gallon sold. Their main margin comes from the convenience stores.

As for the whole "gas strike" idea mentioned awhile back, where we'd "not buy gas for 3 days," that won't work either. Think about it for a minute. They (oil companies) KNOW we need the gas. So you don't fill up on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. You'll be back there at some point, and they know it. The only way to make them take a hurting would be for everyone to stop driving completely for well over a month. It would take a dramatic change in the way our country operates for this kind of "message" to get sent. As a country, and as people who need cars to go to work to get paid to live, we can't just stop driving for any lengthy period of time. So the next time you get one of those emails that I'm sure will circulate again this spring/summer, just delete it and bend over like the rest of us. Short of designing a vehicle that runs on solar energy or water, you aren't going to affect the gas prices anytime soon. Sorry. I don't like it either.

PS - That pic above this post is awesome. Where is that?

Tipp City...Trans Am nationals are held at Dayton Internation Airport in Ohio usually in August and then on Saturday around 4ish everyone heads over to Tipp City where it has been cleared just for us and we get music going and basically its a blast

Most stations make 1 or 2 cents on each gallon so im sure there not going to loose money on making us happy. need to go higher up on the food chain. Here in the houston area its @ $3.31 For 93 Im sure by the time summer gets here it will be at least $4.00 and when they bring it back down to $3.50 we will all be happy about it. They get us that way every year

In your area it is, but I'm talking about the country as a whole. I live out toward the west coast, I have been up and down it many times on road trips, once in the past few months, and have never seen ethanol at a fuel station in my life. At least it's slowly spreading though.
