Im doing a top end upgrade and want to put a diff cam in to match the heads Im shooting for. Im looking for someone that knows late models to do a custom grind spec for me, for those that have them, who are some of the top names in this area? Dont tell me comp cams either Calling them for a custom grind is a joke...tried that.

Talk to Lloyd Elliott (link)

He has 3 combos posted on his site but if you shoot him an email he can figure something out if you have other needs for the car as far as HP numbers, street ability etc.

I tried getting to Bret to spec my cam and gave up. I would rather talk to a person over the phone and he didn't return all my emails. I gave up and cam motions is doing my solid roller. It's big.

Another vote for Bret Bauer..VERY smart guy, and have never had a problem with not returning emails. He did my last top end, and I'll be purchasing a set of heads from him next winter

Interesting comparison. Sometimes it's not just about cams.

You're in the DFW area - talk to Lloyd Elliott (keep it in TX).

Brett Bauer - If I would have known this guy when I did my H/C, I would have def. gone with one of his grinds. I actually took a drive with a buddy to check out his shop and what he was working on for the friend. All I can say is he is a totally cool guy and def. knows his stuff.
