Default 355 Built for 130mph Traps

What do you guys think it would take to run 130s through an M6 and a 355, open to all types of builds. Hopefully nitrous ones because im poor.

Ive got a good idea on what I want to do but I want to see what most of you think.

I have run 129.6mph in my 355 combo with GTP S2 LT4 heads/intake and 235 242 112lsa cam with a 150 shot but in a th400. I know that with a 6 speed the traps would be 131-132mph on the 150 shot depending on raceweight and driver.

Id like to stay HR but we'll see.

Ive got a machine shop that are gonna give me a great deal on heads they flow around 287cfm on the intake side and for what im getting them for I cant pass it up.

I was thinking those, a bre cam, and a single plane (so I can pill her up big time if need be).

Question though, Is it at all possible to do the single plane route on the stock PCM.

Nitrous would probably be your best way to get the power needed to run 130. So do your research, get a good head/cam setup and build a nice bottom end to take the shot. Putting that power to the ground to be able to run the number is a whole different story in a 6 speed. You will need a 9"and full suspension setup just for starters. You will need to figure out what tire your gonna run at the track then set your gear up according to the final drive ratio. Your either going to be able to leave hard or have a very hard charging setup on the top half to hit 130.

Well Im thinkin its gonna stay mostly a street car with the 6 speed and when I bite the bullet and decide to take it off the street shes getting a turbo 400.

Just around here you need 130mph traps just to be....mehhh. Haha.

I just know I cant afford top of the line heads but I could probably squeeze out a SR but Id prefer a HR so Id like to use nitrous to make up for what Im gonna loose to a badass headed car. Oh and I know nitrous isnt cheap but its probably a hell of a lot cheaper than FI haha.

Ill have to see how she runs on a 200 shot and the stock manifold and if it needs more I may run a single plane so I can pill her up to 300.

So your gonna try to do this on a radial tire? 17" or swap to a 15"

If you have to choose spend the money on the heads and not a SR setup. For the money to convert to single plane just pill up.

I've never seen an all motor 130 mph car considered ...mehhhh...lol

Sounds like your gonna need alot of power to run out on the top half of the track to make up for the mediocre first 300 ft.

old list of mods for the car but basically same setup that went 132 http://www.geocities.com/herrint/95Bird-1.html

Oh no Im about to switch to a 15" tire it will be a radial until the new motor goes in.

The machine shop I found to do my heads will give a damn near 290cfm ported stocker for about half the price most pay but I need to do some more reasearch like runner size and talk to him a little more,c ause if he is hoggin the **** out of them Ill take a lower peak flow number to keep some velocity on the little 355.

The thing is I plan on running a 200shot on the stock manifold but after that apparently you have to worry about puddling so if I do HAVE to pill up it will warrant a change to single plane. Its not something I want to do, well I do because single planes are bitchin, mayeb I should say "pay for", but If I have to then I have to depending on final price of it compared to the price to remedy whatever would be my next biggest restriction.

Its not really gonna be a track car, just for having some fun on the streets, and around here 500whp wont even get you close to some of the quicker street cars. Im not looking to be the fastest but it would be nice to suprise some of the high hp guys with an old outdated LT1.

When I get ready for a full blown track car I will probably swap to a th400, but thatd be hard to do cause I LOVE my T56.
