Any board sponsors want to help me get to the LTx shootout?
I am putting out a call for help to get to the LTx Shootout. No one around here rents trucks for towing except commercial renters (I do not own a business) and Uhaul, which charges .69 a mile (which would cost me $800.00 in milage fees alone). I have a trailer from a friend and just need a tow or truck to get there. If someone would like to sponsor me, I have plenty of room for advertising space on the car GMHTP will be there so there is a chance for magazine coverage.

Rent or buy a trailer hitch. Get the bolt in kind vs. the weld in kind. Trust me this type of thing can be figured out. I managed to get the only uhaul car trailer available in a 300+ mile distance in 5 hours the day I needed it. You can figure out how to get a car to Kansas in a month. If you really want to make the race you'll do everything you can to get there.

I had the same problem a year or two back. (My truck dropped a tranny 3 days prior). All you have to do is a little of everything posted above. Rent a truck from Enterprice (Fullsize pref.) Go out and buy a bolt on hitch (around $100 ball park) Bolt it to the truck and hual your car. All trucks have a plug for a trailer hookup from the factory. And a heads up, most trucks use the flat 3 pin style hook up. Round plugs usally only come on trucks made to pull. A Regular full size truck from enterprise will be able to pull a car on a trailer. Just make sure to un-bolt the hitch before you take the truck back. And trust me it will work.

Thanks for the tips. I just don't know about adding a hitch to a rented truck. I don't want to be responsible for the truck if something happens and they found out I was towing.
