Default my waterpump weep hole mod

to keep it off the new opti.

im using a vacuum hose about 18" in length to route the flow to the driver's side of the block.

here is what $400 of plastic looks like

****** slid in EASY into the splines. all it needed was a little jolt to go all the way since i didnt fully clean the cam splines.

im about to mount the pump, i need to let the thread sealer for the bolts cure overnight before i fire it up and fill the pump/radiator.

yes, you do need to tap the weep hole. i used a 1/8ths by 17 thread tap.

Good idea..
I did that a while back when I had my LT1 with a piece of Aluminum Flashing to catch it and make it drip out of the front..

I saw this exact mod somewhere else in the forums a long time ago. It is a good idea. Almost something that should have been factory.

nooooooooooo, never happens

I'm going to keep an eye on how this works out and holds up. The garage queen could use a nice little mod like this so the opti stays lit - I'd hate to have to swap it out because it sat too long then have condensation shoot it to hell again.
