I don't think anyone ever bothered to find out. You thinking about ditching the spintech?

heck no man! i like it alot. very unique sound that no one around here has. i was just wondering if they really did what they said. i have done some searches and found that they flow much much better than flowmasters. i mean i dont think they would patent a design advertising internal scavenging if it didnt work. but still just wondered.

EVERYTHING flows better than a flowmaster 80 series though lol

You should do some recordings for us. Idle, rev up, either driving away or driving by, and then accel in car

We ran a car at the track and were disappointed with the results. It was a 406 with AFR 210's, 11/1 compression, a 242/242 cam, single plane, and carb. It was only pulling consistent 117's. We pulled off the 3.5" spintech and it immediately picked up to consistent 120's. So, to answer your question, no it doesn't work. IMO if you gain more than 1 mph when removing the muffler, you need a different muffler.

I believe there is nothing better than a perforated core, packed straight-through muffler like a Magnaflow or equivalent.

Hmmm bullet.

I hate hearing the word "scavenge". Thats what the chokebastard supposedly does also.

yea it really doesn't. would running duals with 2 spintech prostreets be a restriction since pretty much all crossflow mufflers suck
