i love seeing stuff like this i didn’t have stuff like this when i was a bit younger, i only hope some day i will be able to do stuff like this with high school kids... I’m a thankfull recovering addict and i don’t want any younger person to have to go through what i have... so i only hope i will be able to do stuff like this so they will have goals and to get them interactive with something fun outside of school...
very cool build!

I got them a few years ago. I think that the new ones all have white faces. You could try getting your dealer to look for old stock.

Caleb got to drive the car Friday!

Burnout.

Wheels-up!!

With proud father Bret.

He ran a best time of 7.29 (.031 reaction time) on his 4th and final pass!

Yesterday we changed the injectors and are hoping for better sixty foot times. Next test session is Thursday night.

Well, Stephen drove the car for the first time tonight. I guess the new injectors worked out pretty good.

1.518 (60')

4.598 (330')

7.258 @ 91.96!

We removed the stock 24 lb injectors and replaced them with Ford Racing 19 lbs. Of course, we adjusted the tune for the new injectors. That's a good .04 gain from matching the injectors to the engines needs!

A couple of weeks ago we changed out the valve springs and lifters for a few more useable rpm.

New GM Racing lifters.

New Manley valve springs with dampers (380 lb).

The car has been running so good that we decided to check the cam specs. while we had it apart.

Jason having fun (LOL!).

We made a couple of passes at Union. It looks like we picked up about .02.

Saturday the kids came over...

...and installed new light weight Strange brakes.

We were going to test in the afternoon, but got rained out.

These will be for sale soon...(SOLD)

...to help pay for our new project!

I am pretty confident Gizmo can get pretty deep into the 9's all motor with enough budget and desire if he wanted...but for some reason he likes to play with those silly SE cars . Maybe he just likes pulling on cars with twice the hp at the track?

Awesome thread, I have been reading it since the first post but it has been so long that one of these days when I have some free time I gotta go back to page 1 and read it all together.

I hope those kids realize just how lucky they are to have great mentors and responsible adults to look up to.
