Default Moroso CAI filter question..

hey guys, when i bought my moroso cai i didnt get any info on how to clean the filter...i just happennd to look at it today and its nasty!! so, what do i need to clean the filter? any help is much appreciated!

If it's a K&N filter, just buy the cleaning kit, instructions on cleaning and re-oiling included.

no its the moroso filter that came with the cai. It had no cleaning instructions, so im at a loss here...lol

You can either pull all your intake ducting to get to the filter or you can get under your car and just pull the filter from the metal plate...but it will be a PIA to get back on from the bottom. Then you spray the filter with degreaser and rinse it from the inside out. You do not want to spray from the outside in because you will imbed the dirt more. Then just let it dry completely and regrease it with the spray grease in the K&N cleaning kit.

I've had the Moroso CAI since I bought the car (7 yrs ago) and I've always used the K&N filter cleaning kit with no problems.

That's what I would've said. Hell I'd even do that if I had a Holley filter heh Only due to ease of access to K&N cleaner kits.
