Default 10's again. New best MPH 128

The car is on its way to the chassis shop for a 10 point cage, so this is the last video of the car in its current state.

I will also be upgrading to shaft mount rockers. This may or may not improve HP, but it will improve the valve train durability. It should allow me to turn past 8,000 RPM, but it may not be worth it. The engine makes peak power at 7,000 RPM (set up for stock ECU) and only drops 20 hp by 7500. I have the rev limit at 8,000 RPM (I have hit it more than a few times), but I have not tested it there so I have no idea what kind of power its making. I have been kicking around some ideas I have for the car with friends, but I am not sure if I will get to do them all this year. However, if they become reality, I am sure none of you will be disappointed. In fact, some of you may be horrified .

Nice times... Gotta love how people said your first runs were perfect and there was nothing to improve one.

so lets get all the facts straight so everyone understands. factory ported lt1 heads, only 200cc, SR cam, a street/strip ported intake, stud mounted rockers, a t56, you still have your ac, radio and ALTERNATOR. Along with the rest of the interior AND you are doing this NA with a 128mph trap speed and in the 10.80's. if i left out anything please feel free to correct me. Nice job alexs, you still owe me some chicken wings. hope to see ya soon.

I know that 12 bolt is taking a beating with that 2 step. Great times as usual Aleks. Getting it done with stock heads and intake. Your making some one really mad somewhere. lol

Absolute pimpness, which rockers are you going with, I have a very similar set up and running T&D 1.55:1 and they have held up great.

speed_demon24:

MEAN LT1: Yea, that 12 bolt has taken a pounding. The pro gears have held up very well. The standard ring and pinion I ran before would not survive even for 1 pass off the 2 step.

jasonisdn: Here we go...
FACTS: Stock heads (Ai cnc ported 200cc), Stock intake (Ai cnc ported), AS&M Mono blade, 42 LBS SVO injectors, Custom road race solid roller (Ai spec, mild), Comp pro mag 1.6 rockers with a stud girdle, F.A.S.T. classic ECU, Rebuilt T-56 w/ carbon Kevlar synchros and viper main shaft, Stock power steering, Full and functional A/C, Stock alternator, Stock fuel tank, Moser 12 bolt (track= spool 4:88... street= truetrac 4:10), and this is a N/A pump gas engine.

Right now, the interior is out of the car. This includes: seats, carpet, stereo, and plastics. The interior was removed so the chassis guy can install the cage. I think that's about it, and yes, I'll get the first round .

O Holy P: I don't know yet. LOL, I don't make those decisions. The guys at Ai have all my confidence, so it's whatever they decide.

I also want to thank the rest of you for the kind words and encouragement in the past. Sharing this car with the forum brings yet another level of fun to the project.

Haha, nice, my times in my sig were run with a/c - heat, stereo (+2 amps & sub), & full interior w/ out back seats. I don't make it to the track near as much as I'd like, but I'm waiting on my 10sec motor pass to come around, getting real close. Those shaft rockers should net you a little more HP due to increased valve-train rigidity & friction loss. Good luck dude, once again, very nice.

What size wheel and tire are you running? I'm in a delima as to what I want to run on my terd. I have a good deal standing by for some 15X8 Prostars, but everyone that I've talked to says I should go with a 15X10 for more stability.
I dunno what to do.
