Sounds like a dead battery if the starter solenoid was just clicking.

Ummm...dead battery. When you don't start a car in months and you leave the cables on it the car will drain the battery over time.

Your lights dont draw as much power as starting a vehicle.

Get a charger on it and try again.

That may be true, but think about it, the starter takes way more voltage to crank over than a tiny overhead light.

When you first tried to start it, did you hear the fuel pump kick on? Did you give it a moment of running, so it would build up fuel pressure? If it hasn't been started in quite a while, it will take 10-15 seconds for the pump to get the fuel lines up to pressure.

You say, "I just got the battery". Do you mean it's fairly new? If so, just let it charge for a while before you try to start the car again. You might be OK...

I'm with this guy. The fuel pump will sound like a click when your put the key in the on position - just wait about 10-15 seconds and then try to start it with the new battery. Let us know how it turns out.

hey if your looking for a set of heads to replace the cracked one. i live about 5 mins south of you. i have 2 spair sets. hell and a hot cam if you would want to throw that in too. but on to the problem. if you indeed do have a cracked head then i would start worring about fixing that before you run the engine possible messing even more stuff up. oil and coolant mixed together equals very bad things. hit me up if you want the heads. good luck
