Clutch install priblem need help asap

Default Clutch install priblem need help asap

Pulled my old clutch out and i am putting in a spec stage 2 clutch and i go to install it and i have this part i dont know where it goes. The old clutch doesnt have it. its 4 1/4 in diameter with 4 small holes with one 1 1/2 in the center and it has a small concave to it as if it were some type of spring. it also has two notches 1/2in wide straight across from each other. i tryied to down load a pic but couldnt

its like a wave washer or wave spring with 4small holes and one larger one in the middle with two 1/2in notches opposite from each other. i might be able to email some pics if that help anyone PM ME PLEASE

As was stated before, sounds like the shim that goes behind the slave cylinder. The notches on each side are where it lines up with the slave bolts. Your old clutch didn't have this shim. Spec uses the shims with their clutches. Remove the two bolts for the slave cylinder, place the shim behind the slave and re-install the bolts. Should take care of it.

Don't forget to measure first to see if you even need that shim. Tick performance just wrote something regarding just that (shimming your slave). They even put in pictures. Check out tickperformance.com. Good luck.

well I have the clutch and tranny all bolted in & now I go to put the slave cylinder line back on and the line won't push back into the slave. anyone had that happen? did the oring just swell so It won't go on or do I need to lube the **** out of it? & I had the trans all bolted in before the last post so now I don't know if I needed that shim

maybe i should say the line wont go back in to the slave at the tranny.
