I picked up the QTP used off ebay for $200 and by the looks of it, I like it. I''m glad to hear that I made the right choice over the McCleod unit.

for the record, the newest edition QTP bellhousing with the steel scattershield weighs in at 28lbs total...thought it felt heavier but just weighed it on my scale

I have a mcleod bell housing. It was the biggest pain in the *** biggest waste of money i have ever spent. There customer service is/was terrible when i was installing it last year. It has been nothing but problems and is finally getting removed and replaced by the quick time unit next week. They make a good clutch but there bell housing is worthless I should have sent it back when i first started having problems with it.

What does this mean for mods? .4 inches or what? does this mean I will need to shim it somewhere or anything like shim the slave cylinder?

Default Starter issues.

I bought a QuickTime bell housing for my LS2. I purchased this for the protection. I have had a fight installing this bellhousing. From indexing this housing and now the starter doesn’t align it’s bumping the top of the housing. I assume there is a shim extension. However I am regretting the purchase of this housing. I want to like it and I am sure once I get through all this I will be happy with the purchase. It’s just the difficulty. I couldn’t even find a shop to take on indexing for me. I had to figure it out myself. Has anyone had the top of the starter interfering with the bell housing at the nose it needs quite a bit of trimming seems wrong
