I use a McLeod. There's been quite a few separate instances that I know of where the stocker didn't fully dis-engage the clutch. I had shifting issues after I starting shifting higher with heads/cam, and the McLeod was the solution.

If you try to use the stocker just check it on jack stands to verify you are seeing 100% dis-engagement.

The stocker is notorious for disengagement issues. For best results, I definitely suggest our Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder kit.

Used a stocker for two Textralas I had/have. Switched to the Tick and HUGE differance. The first one I had lasted a while, but still prematurelly wore out due to disengagement issues.

the problem i am having is that my pedal is sticking to the floor, i bleed the clutch 3 times know since july, i have mcleod master in there which i bought for $50 which could be the problem not getting enough fluids or its slow getting fluids, the thing is when i drive the car for an hour or so the pedal gets better as i drive it but im kind of getting tired of waiting for a certain time to get smooth pedal engagement, i have been trying to adjust my pedal maybe its too low but i dont know what to adjust, i tried adjusting the master rod but it didnt work so i will try and i just it again this weekend if anybody knows how to adjust a clutch pedal please let me know and if yo uhave any pictures that would be great, if that does not work ill just have to buy the tick master

I know tex recommends using a stocker...and I dont own a tex so I cant really say from experience. But I havent been able to get the stock master cylinder to work with a STOCK style clutch let alone something aftermarket. The thing is just a piece. It didnt work well with the SPEC 3 I had, or the LS7 I have now.

And Ive tried the RAM adjustable, which is snake oil in my opinion. No extra fluid flow over the stocker. And it makes perfect sense that adding just alittle more fluid flow would disengage the clutch that tiny bit more it has to go to be fully disengaged. I think as long as you adjust it as instructed, and go slow with the adjustments, there isnt much chance of damaging anything.

We'll see...

Default Tick's the only way

I used a McLeod master for about 50 miles after I upgraded my clutch to a Textrailia Z. I replaced the slave with a new GM while I was in there but still didn't get the shifts I wanted. I pulled the McLeod and went with the Tick. The Tick master uses a Tilton cylinder that is second to none for our applications. You'll never look back!!
