Default Need help???
alright i just got a stage 2 clutch put in my car and now when i drive it i cant go into 2nd,3rd or 5th they told me to get the specs on the skip **** so the mechanic could make it is this true or is it some thing else???

heh...you said skip ****. Did your skip "shift" stuff work before the clutch? There is a skip shift feature on these cars that can be disabled either by a tune or you can buy a small device to plug in by the tranny. Could he have possibly disconnected yours when he took the tranny out? You can drive like a grandma though and disable it to test if it lets you go in all gears. I didn't think it blocked 5th gear though.

yea the skip shift worked...and yea its connected...and this is only when the car is on when its off i can go threw all 6 gears

The skip shift has nothing to do with 5th. WHAT is your mechanic wanting to make?

That being said, you have a new clutch, and it will NOT go into 2nd, 3rd or 5th? Right? Will it go into Reverse, 1st, 4th and 6th OK?

Do you have an aftermarket adjustable shifter?
Are the stops out too far keeping you from engaging the affected gears?

At the base of a B&M there are stops that are adjustable. If they are out too far they can cause problems getting into gear.

this only happens when the car is on when it is off i could go into all 7 gears so im gessing its an electrical problem
