textralia owners chime in
im looking at getting a tex (oz700) in the next few months. do you find your tex suitable for a daily driver? can it be slipped from a stop light with chatter and minimal gas? any input would be great. thanks in advance

Mine works perfectly fine racing or daily driving. Since getting the Tick Master Cyl, it has allowed even powershifts.
If your going to get this clutch, get the slave cyl too. If you dont, you will MOST LIKELY notice high rpm shifting issues when you get over 400 rwhp.

best clutch ive ever owned hands down. pedal feel is great and it holds some power (700rwhp+ and 700rwtq+ is what im workin with). im on my second one and only reason its my second is because i blew my Ls1 up and didnt want to put the old clutch with 22k miles on it back in there.

well....you need to hear more.
mine self destructed in less than a year on daily driving; and i didn't abuse it at all.
check around and you're going to find a lot of people have had miserable luck with the 0Z 700.
mine was professionally installed and broken in properly. the chatter was unbearable. i was embarrassed to put anyone in the car with me.
save yourself the $$.

ive got a 0z 700 z grip in my car and it is a great clutch. i am very happy with it, i wish the pedal was a little stiffer. i will take some getting used to but i wouldn't hesitate using it in a dd.

AWESOME is all I have to say, Plus its rebuildable as well. There have been a few people who have had problems, but its always bound to happen. I've had mine behind 650fwhp for over 10K miles. Never skipped a beat.
Lastly, ITS NEARLY INDISTINGUISHABLE from stock. Its just a tad grabbier from a stop light, otherwise, its SMOOOOOOOTH sailing.

how soft is the pedal with this clutch compared to stock? the clutch i have is "supossed" to grip 10-15% better than stock, i have no clue what brand it is, but the pedal is pretty soft, almost feels like theres none there....how would this one compare?

I have the Z-Grip with a Stock Master, just did the Drill Mod to it. I have had no issues with my 6500 RPM shifts, I've got them every time.
As far as daily driving, it's snappy..but it's not that bad once you get the hang of it.
Yea it chatters when I'm sitting in Neutral, that's about it. To the person that was bitching about it up there.. these things aren't cadillacs, you want performance parts in them then expect some things that won't normally happen.
If you don't like the chattering then get you a bigger Engine, and throw a Cam in it to drown out that chattering noise..

i have the priviledge of owning 2 cars...my Formula is completely stock with a stock clutch (38k miles). the Text in my Ws.6 feels like butter compared to my Formula. ill come home from driving the Ws.6 all day and jump in the Formula to move it and it feels like im pushing the clutch down on a Mack truck.

I have an x grip and love it. I don't daily drive it. Have took it on a trip or two in city driving. The hotter it gets the more it won'ts to grab. So it will take a little getting used to. Stock pedal feel though.

The Tex OZ-700 is a good clutch, pedal pressure and driveability is awesome for it. However disengaging problems have plagued many including myself and at least one other local here, and this wasn't caught in time...so the trans were in need of rebuilds. If your gonna get this clutch, factor in the cost of the Tick Adj. master. Overall i think its a good clutch, but when all said and done with adj master and clutch i coulda had a Mcleod street twin... and not a damaged transmission.
