MGW vs. Pro 5.0

All right, alot of you guys were wanting to know if anyone went from a Pro 5.0 to the new MGW shifter. I had the pro 5.0 in my car, with 1 inch taken off the stick. I always thought the shifter felt notchy, and every now and then I would miss the 2-3 shift. The 5.0 is a rock solid shifter, and a top quality piece.
Now the new, I wanted to make a change with my car and get a smoother setup so I decided to sell my 5.0 and get the MGW. I paid over 200 for the 5.0 and sold it on this site, I got sold it for 135. I got the MGW for 219 shipped. While the car was down I also got my TICK adjustable MC (that thing Is absolutely fantastic by the way.) I just finished it up tonight and took it for a spin. The MGW is awesome, very short shifts and super stiff centering springs, I dont think I will ever miss the 2-3 again. It seems to have much shorter and precise throws than my 5.0 and I can really fly thru my shifts. the notchy feeling is not there any more either, just the normal solid click and I am gone.
This is my personal experience and Opinion on the matter, I think the MGW is the best shifter I have ever had in my hand, and consider the loss on my 5.0 switching to the MGW to be well worth it.
Like I said this is my personal experience.

Its VERY VERY quiet. What you hear with your stock shifter is basically what you will hear with the MGW. As long as you put the #6 boot back in.
Yet another one converted to the best shifter out there!!!

Its made for the Fbody. It fits perfectly. You have to call to order them as they dont want to update their site yet because they are still having production volume issues.
Basically they dont want to put it up on the website yet just to have 2000 people order it when they only have 100.

Thats my thread on what I think about it. I think that MeentSS02 went from a B&M to the MGW and said it was WAY better.

Probably something I should of done with the Hurst in the car but didnt even think about it until just now. I went and measured the actual throw. Now if someone could measure the Hurst and stock shifters we could get a good comparison.
MGW has a 1-2 throw of 3 1/4". Pretty much even shift is the same. I measured from the HVAC controls to the top middle part of the H on the Hurst shifter ****.

Ok took the car out this morning on the on ramp and took off on the spray, excellent short and exact shifts. never missed a beat, sailed well over 120 flying thru the gears. If anything you need watch shifting from 5-6 or youll end up in 4th, because it wants to center itself so positively, Super smooth, quiet, and quick, solid shifter. My 2-3 shift was just as quick as my 1-2 shift.
I LOVE THIS SHIFTER, IT IS AWESOME
and as far as fit and finish I would call them perfect.
