drill mod coming up. wish me luck!!!
hey guys, i'm not experienced at all with mechanical work. the most i've ever done was put on a slp intake/lid and throttle body. I am going to attempt the drill mod to the ms tomorrow if this storm shows mercy to the east coast. Wish me luck. The write up looks pretty simple i'm going to re-read it before i start. I have pretty bad luck & patience issues.

The LT1 clutch hose DOES have the restriction also.
The restriction is on the MC end but not on the fitting surface, it is down in the hole about 1" deep or so, right where the bit ends in the pic. In fact I can just barely fit a 1/16th drill bit in this hole small hole. The 1/8" drill bit will fit in the upper portion of the fitting, but stops due to the restriction about 1" into the fitting. I then ran the 1/8" bit in to cut out the restriction.
Cant tell anything on the SC end do to the right angle fitting.
Doing this allowed me to shift harder without occasionally grinding gears. Do it and make sure you get the shavings out.

hey guys, well off to the bad news, i couldnt finish the job. I have a ls1 2000Z. i got as far as performing the "drill mod" but i could not get the master back through the firewall. that damn u bolt gave me hell. i had to use a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to pound it out of the firewall to begin with. Its just too tight of a fit to get the U bolt to go back in. I was close to boring out the hole and putting a lil extra torque on the 13m nut. i don't know what to say man.. i do NOT want to get anyone else to finish my work for me. this is my first solo job of this magnitude.
