You've got a 93-97 T-56, so I wouldn't worry about it until you've surpased the 750 RWHP range.
My T-56 hasn't been touched (other than obvious aftermarket clutch and flywheel) on my 95 Z in my sig, and I have yet to have any issues, and I've railed the snot out of it for years, sometimes with slicks. I don't power shift though. I have heard of some people having issues when power shifting with a bit less power than me.
In 98, the F-body T-56 went from being made from Borg Warner in Germany, to being made in Mexico. The LS1 style T-56's are junk and have a magnitude of issues compared to the LT1 style T-56's. Just look in this forum at all the LS1 T-56 related issues.
My 98 Formula has had its share of issues, and it doesn't come close to the power level my Z is at. I've fixed most of them, but still have a bad syncro or two I that am nursing along with an issue with a lock out selonoid. I hate it when they outsource!

Thats not me personally. I've only put 4XX thru my T56 setups and the only failures I've had have been the stamped keys breaking. I've had to put new keys into both of my T56's due to them (100 dollars in keys)
Past that, they really have no failures till you snap the input shaft off. That's very varied with the cars though.
