Slave problems
Slave problems Pulled my tranny today and removed the slave cylinder. Put it in 3 months ago! My car had gotten hard to shift and then completely stopped shifting. Notice the slave was leaking at the seal (with so help from Ls1 tech
). Replaced and bled the clutch and it looks like the same thing happening again.
Am I installing this damn thing wrong ? I just slid the assembly over the spine and bolted it up, Made sure it sat flat, hooked back up the clutch line and bled. Is the spring suppose to be on the seal , because it is not, it is over it. What keeps the seal in place? Thanks for any help.

OK, here is what is happening. The seal (diagram) is pushing too far out. The throw out bearing doesn't stop the seal before the fluid starts to leak from the side of the seal. Removed tranny again, pushed the throw out bearing back on and twisted it. Tried to pull off with my hand, it stayed on. Reinstalled bled and it worked, for about 30 secs, then started leaking again. I do not see any groves or anything that limits the throw out bearing from moving too far out. Any ideas on what I need to do?
