Default Can't shift at high rpms. Clutch pedal height is constant.

Hydraulics seem fine as the pedal doesn't get mushy.

Bled the hell out of the system but it still won't let me in to gear at high rpms.

This is on an LS7 clutch with new master and somewhat new slave.

Car drives perfect except for this issue although I do hear a kind of whirring noise when the clutch pedal is pushed in.

Trans fluid level is fine also.

nothing?

It will be dry tomorrow so I'll know if bleeding helped.

Hopefully slamming it in to gear wont break anything. If it does the car is going bye bye. Just tired of this crap. Clutch and trans are basically new.

Which flywheel?

The clutch isnt fully disengaging. Can be anything from a hydraulic issue to a mechanical issue with the pressure plate

It's the basic LS2/LS7 setup. Not sure if I changed out the slave cylinder when I did the clutch. Testing the car today during lunch to see if the bleeding helped. There is a slight whirring type noise when I push the clutch all the way in. Wonder if the throwout bearing is overly worn.

Yep. Still doing it. Get the rpms high, won't go in next gear unless possibly slamming it which I'm not going to do. Let the rpms drop just a bit and it goes in fine. Pedal pressure stays consistant.

Try doin the drill mod, it's suppossed to help with stuff like this. I had the same problem before I did the drill mod on my stock MC, and after it was just awesome.

If you unhook the hose for the master at the slave, use your hand to push on the clutch pedal, pedal should be rock hard. If its not, then there is a problem with the master or there is air in it. If it is rock hard I would say its a problem with the slave or the pressure plate.

First, it's definately in your hydraulics!

Did you presuure bleed it or vacuum bleed it? It does make a difference.

What do you mean by somewhat new slave?

Actually it may be the original slave cylinder. (almost 100,000 miles on it) Now that I think about it I don't think I ever replaced it.

I checked pedal pressure when I bled it this weekend (pressure bled it) and it was perfect, I get no loss of pedal pressure.. The master cylinder has been replaced recently when I was losing pedal pressure earlier this year.

I read it can also be the LS7 pressure plate not aligning right or something but I think my slave cylinder is just showing signs of age. How easy is it to change one out? I have some pretty good jackstands and jack. Any special tools needed?

Oh and drill mod was done eons ago.

Thanks, I did that when I pressure bled it this weekend. Pedal was rock hard. No issue with the master.
